Default Forza Motorsport 3

Almost time ladies and gents for the greatest racing game of all time.

Heres a bit of info from Wiki and other sources:

Forza Motorsport 3 will include over 400 fully customizable cars from 50 manufacturers and over 100 tracks.

New additions to the game include an in-car driving view, a perfect line to follow, one button assisted driving, vehicle rollover, and for the first time in the series, trucks and SUVs.

Also included will be the ability to create in-game videos and upload them to the Forza Motorsport website. Forza Motorsport 3 will be shipped in two discs, but can be played completely off the first. The second disc serves as the "installation disc", which will contain some additional cars and tracks.

A new single-player season mode will put the player through a completely personalized racing calendar that includes more than 200 different events, including Circuit, Oval, Drag, Drift, and Timed Events. No two calendars will be the same.

Online multiplayer mode gains an all-new game rules editor. New scoreboards will display not only the greatest racers but also the most prolific car tuners and painters in the community.

Game director Dan Greenawalt revealed that the updated physics engine will include tire deformation, and the ability to flip your car over. He also included that there will be a "Pressure" system in which the AI, depending on how the difficulty is set, will actually make mistakes when under pressure.

See this page here for updates on which cars and tracks will be included in the game

Forza Motorsport 3 -- [WIP]Car & Track List [UPDATED August 11th] - Forza Motorsport

I personally cannot wait to tune the nuts out of Corsa VXR

Use this thread to discuss what features your looking forward to, which cars you will be getting and anything else.

I was banned from the Forza 2 auction house by Turn 10 for something I never did. Without typing the whole damn story again, I'll just let you read the e-mail I sent them - to which there was no reply.

Quote:
Hi there.

In a Forza 2 Auction House incident that occurred several months ago, there was a bit of a scuffle involving one of the game community's most popular Tuning Companies (NASTY Tuning) and a few of my online friends. I am unsure as to how it started, but it apparently boiled down to the people I knew creating imitation paint-jobs of the NASTY group, and then selling poorly-tuned cars with those liveries on them in order to give the impression that NASTY Tuning were in fact terrible tuners.

At least one of the people who did this was a member of UsR (the online racing clan that I am also a member of). I am not entirely sure who it was, but I can attempt to find out if totally necessary.

Whilst those involved were given a seven-day ban from the Auction House, as well as gifting and receiving cars on Forza 2, for some unknown reason the entire UsR clan were banned from both the game's forums and/or the Auction House and gifting/receiving cars for years. As I have said, I do believe at least one person actually involved with the problem was in UsR, however at least 70 people (possibly more) were punished for absolutely nothing.

I strongly appreciate Forza 2's online rules, terms and conditions; however I believe there to have been either a harshly unfair lie made to a member of Turn 10 by a member of NASTY Tuning that the whole of UsR was involved, or a deliberate ban of the whole clan handed out based on judgments made on its members because of behaviour on a separate game's forum (PGRNations.com) by a few people. I had heard of a suggestion that we were all banned because one or two may have acted immaturely or against the rules of the forum, when in fact that forum was rarely moderated and updated at all by the site's runners, and numerous other people (outside of UsR) were also behaving in a manner that did not comply with the rules and regulations of the forum - I am not certain that this is indeed correct.

An online friend of mine (RpM Mad Monk - who was not involved) recently created a thread on your forum (LINK) asking whether I - and the UsR members concerned - will be banned on Forza 3, and I was directed to Turn 10's e-mail by a moderator. I would like to know what is actually going to happen.

Not everyone in UsR is an avid fan of the Forza series (many had not even bought Forza 2, yet found themselves banned from your forums), however I was easily the most committed to Forza 2 having partaken in the Forza 2 ETCC (European Touring Car Championship; LINK TO FORUMS), and am currently a forum administrator on the Race World Series' forum (LINK). Since March, the RWS has been dedicated to Race Pro, however trailers, pictures and videos of the upcoming Forza 3 release has got most of us playing Forza 2 again - leaving a mere 10-15 people participating in our Race Pro season. I am one of those people, simply because my unfair ban has left me with very little to do on Forza 2. Before I buy the next game - something I and the majority of UsR members are looking forward to doing - I would like to know if I will have a ban waiting for us, and whether it would be possible to overturn that ban.

>From what I have heard, the incident was a foolish and unfair idea of ruining a tuning company's promising future - however the ban performed by Turn 10 was equally unjust. I am one of several people who have had their Forza 2 experience wrecked because of something I didn't do. According to other UsR members, a few others have sent e-mails in order to attempt to overturn this ban - there has been no result. I would hugely appreciate a reply from someone at least telling me what the situation is for me and UsR.

Thanks,
Jonny (Gamertag: UsR EXTR3ME)

This game looks great, I can't wait. I made a thread ages ago.

Are there going to be more tracks? I'd like to see Hockenheim, Kayalami and Curitiba in the game.

Exactly. You would have thought a company like Turn 10 would have pushed the guy who complained for concrete evidence that everyone was involved, or he just banned us for the lol'z.

I've sent the e-mail three times now, no response. I'm just hoping that I'm not banned on anything for Forza 3, because it looks great.

That sometimes happens as a glitch, and you get your access back a day or two later. Try turning off and turning back on your router. It seems to have worked for most people who were banned for no reason.

No, it's getting more realistic.

Anyway, yes, I'm going to be getting FM3. Looks awesome.`

Oh, how I wish you were right. I tried that back in July last year, when I was banned for the first day of the 150-year-long ban.

This was no mistake mate, this was some ridiculous form of discrimination. Well, maybe that's a bit over the top.

Nope, unless you turn on all the assists and driving line help etc etc.

Forza is for the 'realists, the likes of NFS, GRID, DiRT etc are for arcadey racing.

I love tinkering with the cars I have, infact some days I will spend more time messing about with the set ups of cars and testing them instead of racing.

I remember I had a Honda CRX that I spent ages tuning and it used to kick the the lalalala out of cars in way higher classes just because of the set up I had on it.

Looking forward to getting some fast laps around Circuit de La Sarthe (without the chicanes)

There were Ferraris in Forza 2, so I'd presume they'd be in Forza 3 as well.

Yep the prancing horse is back.

Also, here a link to an interview with one of the Turn10 devs about the drag racing events in Forza 3.
