Ive driven the demo track so many times now i think i'll start dreaming of it, yet im still getting a lalalala lap time becasue of THAT corner.

Which corner, Doc? I'm always messing the first hairpin up, because I either overshoot the entry, or go too slow.

It's a pretty great corner for overtaking, though. Just put your foot down in the middle of it and you're past about three of them.

That first big corner where you think you have the correct entry point and speed but then the corner changes towards the end of it, gets a bit sharper, always ens up shaving seconds off my time

It catches me out each time too; every lap I think I can put my foot down believing that the exit should be comping up. The corner tightens up and all of a sudden I have to release the accelerator pedal to avoid the wall and crucial seconds have evaporated...

i DL the Demo and i already love it

ill tell you how i approach it, try a wide entry to the corner, cos its a tightening hairpin, so you go in wide and exit tight, you'l find you get a much better exit from the corner. the apex of the corner is much later than you think

so far ive only tried the Evo and my fastest time is 1:13.785 with no aids, which puts me in top 4% on the leaderboard, im happy with that, considering i only got an xbox a week ago, still trying to adjust to the controller, coming from the wii

whats everyone elses times??

gonna try the other cars

1:16.063 in the Mini, top 3%
1:10.471 in the Ferrari, top 2%
1:07.299 in the Audi, top 8%
1:04.870 in the Porsche, top 4%

damn, that Porsche is a handful

Haha the Porsche without the aids on is hilarious fun to drive, as soon as you tap the brakes they lock up, gotta apply them gradually

Glad you have seen the light and bought yaself an Xbox Frogster. MW2 is next!!

That corner in question, I am following the racing line shown to you and it always f's you up. Will try your advice.

my list of games i want is
This
Dirt 2
Fifa 10(already got)
MW2(i had COD 5 on wii and loved it even though its not my type of game)
cant think of any other games i need

maybe GTA

yh it is weird that the line they show you is different, i switched it off cos it was just confusing me at that corner and one of the later corners

@Scarffo, i dont think i can quite handle the porsche yet

, its more to do with the no traction control, im hesitating to get on the throttle out of the slow corners.

im not fond of the Audi as well, feels like theres too much understeer

dunno if you feel the same

The Audi is awful, cant understand why they made it the cover car, doesnt look too great either compared to other cars in the game, (The 'Rari California for example).

Personally speaking Froggy, MW2, Forza 3 and FIFA 10 in that order, will probs dominate my gaming for the next 6-7 months, oh and a little bit of Lego Rckband and DJ Hero too
