No supermen in PES 09? Surely you are joking? Konami has even stated that they have changed it in 2010 so that you can't easily just run through the opponent team with messi like you could in PES 2009. That is from Konami themselves, admitting they had supermen in the game.

I have fifa 09 on my xbox 360 and its amazing. After seeing all this pes vs fifa, i tryed downloading pes 2009 demo, to just try out the gameplay. The first match i played, i got bored. It was so un-realistic. I mean you cant compare pes vs fifa, because fifa is much more realistic than pes. Fifa has way better gameplay than pes. I deleted pes after playing one match.

Now all i can say is: lalalala FROM FIFA FORUMS

PES 2010 is looking great Graphically at the Moment but if you look at the Core Gameplay of PES 2009 it needs a lot of Work, although the Fundamentals are there already in place such as Pitch Size, Player Size and Game Speed.

If you don't think Konami will produce a quality game that will challenge FIFA this year then your a nutter.

We'll have to wait and see what the game plays like though.

I can't comment on which is better as I have never played PES (probably never will, because none of my friends play it AND according to reviews it is not as good) but I will say there is more hype from FIFA with regards to awesome gameplay, eg/ 360 dribbling, but the PES camp have raved about the graphics

It's terrible the playerlalalala the ball wierd and toe punt it alot.. it's un-realistic.. manager mode is lalalala as is online.. they copy things from fifa... i.e be a pro... 10v10 (instead 4v4) players just dive around everywhere

No no, PES 2009 is very realistic because you can take the ball with certain players and run through the other team easily. Just ask dnoomz, he says this behaviour is what make PES 2009 a perfect simulation.

haha. i bet mactheman didnt think his post would cause such a fuss and so many arguments. i wll be honest tho pro evo faces are amazing and pro does kick fifas lalala when it comes to player likeness but thats because all pro evo does is work on that and nothing else. fifa work on everything and overall fifa is a way better quality game, the gameplay is more realistic and unless there is a new generation football game coming out anytime soon then fifa will hold the crown of the best footballing game to date and will do for many years to come period!

Why do people still say that PES has the 'never 2 goals the same' feel which Fifa doesn't have? if Fifa is way the better game surely this shouldn't be the case.

I've always been a pro evo guy but I've had to be content with FIFA 09 this season. Next season it's gonna be PES 2010 and FIFA 10 for me but only if PES 2010 is good, I hope it's better than FIFA because the thing I hate about FIFA is that there is too many controls, you have to study the bloody game to be really good at it.

no you dont your just stupid then... i played pes 2008 and when i got fifa 09 i got the hang of the controls within a couple of minutes in the arena

I was PES all the way until FIFA08 which blew it's Pro Evo equivalent out of the water.
With the offline improvements and slower gameplay than 09, I can't see FIFA being bested by Konami in 10... although I would love for both games to be worth playing this year.
I find it quite weird that you pap on about Pro Evo being more realistic and your defence is the cosmetics... obviously a troll

Is that a joke? it's the other way round. PES have hefty manuals you can get to master the game. Fifa doesn't have these, it's easy to get into.

the thing is with half you fanboys, you havnt actually played the game, going in with a neutral state of mind on which game is better than the other. i have a mate who has PES09 and i have FIFA09 and were both playing both of the games alot and PES09 is a great game. Yes, it may not have collision systems. Yes, it may not have the EPL licenses and Yes it may not have all the stadiums, but the actual game is an awesome game to play. Its a very easy game to learn, and a very hard game to master. The same negative strategies used on fifa (through balls to fast strikers) are alot harder to use and abuse on PES09 which makes it more realistic. Konami have tweeked the physics of the ball to near realism and the size of the pitch is at near realism.

I have come in here with a preference of Fifa, but i have given PES a very fair go and its a very good game. There are too many fan boys in here criticizing the game because of "no collision system", licenses, picture face graphics or whatever you call them.

I beleive PES10 will give FIFA10 a good run for its money from the information Konami have released already. Time will tell

Would people even be comparing the two ? I dont think EA would even bring out another football game if this was the case.
