Is it me or is PES 2010 causing more Excitement than FIFA 10?

they've vastly improved their graphics and are releasing a lot of information about the new game. fifa havent improved the graphics and arent releasing much on the new game. so its not surprising that PES is creating more buzz

IMO pes graphics and realism is the reason y its still running, while fifa on the other hand is the brilliant gameplay and animation and simulation type of game which is ADDICTIVE (know from my own experience).

Heres my $0.02 on the subject:

I have played both PES 09 and FIFA 09. My friend owns PES 09 and I have FIFA 09. Let me start off by saying I thought PES was great up until 08 which is when FIFA got better. I played both PES 08 and FIFA 08 and I must say the differences is not THAT big and I felt both were solid games. However, I felt FIFA 09 was clearly better than PES 09. But anyways, heres what I liked/disliked about each game.

PES 09:
Liked:
-Tempo of the game, felt realistic.
-Small details such as stamina, quick set pieces, injuries not resulting from being tackled, etc.
-Champions League Licensing. And teams such as Dinamo Zagreb, Dynamo Kiev, Shakhtar Donetsk (FIFA definitely needs to show this team some love).
- Player graphics.
Disliked:
-Obvious complaint, although they had smaller nation teams, they did not have EPL and some other major teams that I would have liked to play with under real names.
-If you have a really fast player (Eto'o, Messi, Rooney) you could blow through the other team.
-Game feels stiff, players are kinda clueless at times, dumb goalkeepers.

FIFA 09: This is after i have played PES so comparatively here are my thoughts
Liked:
- Included much more teams.
- Player movement
-Online modes
- Manager mode better
Disliked:
- Game pace
- Would like some of those teams from Champions League in Rest of World section
- Some finer points of the game. Such as GKs can come out and to make a save and rarely would it be a foul. Also, you can't do quick freekicks. Stamina is still a bit of an issue.

Overall, the main thing that really set me off about PES 09 is that u dont really need to pass and strategize all that much if u can just blow through the defense with Eto'o.

I will probably buy FIFA 10, and my friend will still probably buy PES 10. We both get to play both games and like ANY game, it will have its shortcomings which its counterpart may be doing a better job of. I am just hoping for the best football game whether it come from PES or FIFA

Have you heard of option files before?you think if they had the license they would name them man red(which they don't anymore)and stuff like that.EA has cleverly but selfishly(imo)snatched the license and refuse to share.This is a marketing strategy,i know,but this also a reason why they are being lazy,cos they know people like metiz and wz797 would bombard pes cos of this and so would rest their arses until people start to see through.

Dude, I like x-box360 and all ( I have one myself....) and I think it is a good console but when it comes to graphics I am sad to say that he is right. PS3 has much better graphics. But overall I think x-box 360 is much better. X-box has a lot more online players overall which is nice. Once the CRY engine comes out for x-box360 it will be awesome! The graphics will be AMAZING!

those were far better games than FIFA ever was at that time, and still PES was the only major sport game Konami made, yet that didn't stop those games being miles better than FIFA 2004, 2005 and the rest...

So PES claims their game is a football simulation game. That's fair, to be honest... Noone with half a brain would poo on their own doorstep, would they? Especially when they will get money from it.

Who cares about the graphics. They look like there counterparts but they are doll faces. Plus have you seen the shirts. Looks like they have drawn on with a crayon. Plus the gameplay will prob be rubbish.

In terms of game, Fifa will prob be the more realistic game.
