The most reliable way to get it sorted would probably be to send it back to Microsoft to have them fix it for you.

That just heppened to me. Contact Microsoft and they can help you out. The repair and shipping should be free.

Yep.
The customer support number is in the back of your warranty booklet/manual.
Call that (you need the 360's MFR Date, Serial No. and the date of purchase (the first two are on the back of the console, where the Wireless Network Adapter goaes) and you should get a box shipped to your nearest DHL/UPS centre. Put the 360 in there, they'll send it to whatever Microsoft Repair Centre. There they'll fix it and then send it back... Takes about a week...

Hope this helps,

this doesn't work for everyone but it certainly works for me whenever i get it, unplug all the cords and leave them out for like 5 minutes, plug them back in and it should work

You should keep it unplugged anyway for Planet-saving reasons

Ring the Store you bought the Xbox from and ask them for the Supplier details. Sometimes you can take back to the store and they'll send it off to a registered repairer.

When this happened to me, I phoned the Xbox Customer support and they were great, one of the best I've ever spoken to.

Just phone them up and do what they tell you - don't try fixing it yourself as you'll probably cause more problems than you had to start with.

Just phone Microsoft, Remember i think Microsoft will only replace it, if the componant which is faulty can't be replaced and fixed... also remember that it should be in warrenty!

Kaka... Umm.. If it does that then your 360 is giving up, I got a RofD and i switched it off thinking that the scart lead was loose (which i now realise that its 4 lights not 3) and i fiddled around in the back and turned it on, it worked... A month later my dad was one the phone to Microsoft and it got sent away...

Microsoft replaced my old console with a brand new one so I didn't have to wait more time while they ordered the new part.

I was chuffed

Mmm... Mine took ages... I think... Maybe the fact i loved it soo much and was heartbroken when it died made the wait even longer

I had to ring Microsoft myself (at 13 yrs old) because my mum or dad cba

They were definately extremely helpful, and i was only on hold for about 2 mins. I guess Microsoft do care for us a little bit.
