Who is planning to get this game? Which console do you plan to get this game for (PS3, Xbox 360, PC....DS
Here is the GameTrailers Video Review of the game, Gametrailers.com - Call of Duty 4 - Review Here is IGN's Review + Video Review of the game, IGN: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Review Here are some other Review Scores, Gamepro 5/5 Game Informer 10/10 Gamespot 9.0/10 Gamespy 5/5 Official Xbox Magazine 10/10 X-play 5/5 OPM 10/10 This game has been highly anticipated as being the first CoD not to be set in a WWII or Past War setting, but more to the liking of today's day and age, hense the sub-title. This game has also been waited on as the FPS to challenge Halo and Tom Clancey's Rainbow Six as the Genre's top game, and by it's scores, reviews, and feedback, it's likely that it has the crown. But will sales match those of Halo or TC:RS? Time will tell. So for those planning to get this game, leave your PSN ID, XBOX Gamer Tag, and what-not and I'll update it.PS3 PSN ID's: Matieo10 davidvilla11 360 Gamer Tag: PC User Name:

I'm very tempted, I'll probably get it for the 360 as there's already a lot of competition as to who gets to use the computer between me and my fiance.
I think it'll have to be a birthday or christmas present though as I can't afford it as a treat (spent too much recently on sims 2 games!) It looks stunning. Can't wait till we get it and get on multiplayer or online. Can't remember what my fiance's gamertag is though, plus I'm never very good, I just play for fun. |

I got COD4 for the PC. I like it a lot. I already beat the game once. I skipped the easiest setting and went to the second one. I am going to try it on the next harder setting.
I might get it for the PS3. The only thing I am disappointed in is the multi-player. It is not open enough and the maps are not big enough. The games run through to fast. I like the BF series games better when it comes to multi-player. It may grow on me though. Their are a lot of Rocket spam'ers already. I have yet to find a nice open map that I can Sniper from with good success. I will have to run a few server maps my self and check them all out to get an idea on them from a sniper point of view. Jumping straight into it was a bit overwhelming without knowing the maps. All in all it is a really good game. It has to be one of the best I have played. I still prefer BF2 and BF2142 over it when it come to the multi-player. I do not have the 360. I can't see a reason for getting it. It just cant beat the PS3. Their was no HD player when I thought about getting it. Their is now; but I like Blue-ray better. Plus the PS3 Cell Processor is awesome. The Halo games are not enough to justify me buying it. I do not like the Halo multi-player game style. Their single player is good. The main reason I will not get the 360 is the XBOX Live. I can't see a reason for paying to play on-line. I fell sorry for those players of the COD4 game that have it for the 360. They are the only ones that have to pay to play on-line. If I was to buy it; it would be for my nephew.

I bought it from a certain well known GAMEs retailer *ahem* and even though I got an e-mail from them which guarenteed that it would arrive today, it didn't
.So I invited my mate round (who bought it today, too) and had a little go at the single player and then played multi-player against him. Air-strikes and helicopters are awesome - although giving them to the person in the lead is a little stupid (although watching him cower in fear was hilarious)... One annoyance is that, to quote the gametrailers.com video review; "Some soldiers soldiers have definitiely missed their calling card as an NFL Quarter Back: able to toss a grenade over 100 yards and make it land directly at your feet." It'd be even more annoying if you couldn't throw them back, though .The lack of a cover system is the games biggest downfall, in my opinion. FP shooters without a cover system just don't feel right anymore. I'm looking forward to spending some more time with the single player (it's pretty impressive from what I've played so far) and to playing the game online, too, when I get it tomorrow (if I get it tomorrow ).Phenom |

I haven't seen much of it, yet, so I don't know.
It looks like BC will be better; more destrucability; vehicles; more mulitplayer action, but only time will tell! Check out the gametrailers video review of CoD4 - I agree with it for the most part, though I'd have scored it less for having no cover system, no co-op play (at all) and the fact that you can't get in or drive any vehicles (other than the odd occasion when you get to man a machine gun from a chopper) . I'd have given it 8.5 - but please keep in mind I only had a short time with the game! From what I've seen so far, yes, it looks like it's worth £40. Phenom |

The guys over at the 44Records forums claim they completed the single player in one day, yesterday, said it was way too easy. They also went on to say, although the graphics were spot on, you couldn't fly any aircraft apart from sitting in the AC10 for one of the missions. As I said in watching the dvd preview GAME sent me, the tanks only make little holes in walls.
Personally, from what I saw of that DVD prieview, my thoughts on getting the game were put on hold, as I thought the previews for the up and coming release of Battlefield Bad Company seemed far better with more destruction. They too (44R) also said you can throw grenades a long, long way, lol. Suppose it will satisfy a few gamers, but for me, I'll be saving my pounds and waiting for BFBC to come out next year. D. |

Wanna get this game but I'm not sure whether to pick it up for the PC or PS3.

I bought it this morning and completed the game a couple of hours ago with a 3 hour break in the middle for eating talking to friends etc. The single player is top notch, second to none IMO, with a nice little mission at the end but i won't ruin the surprise i'll just say don't skip the credits .Multiplayer is in my opinion complete gash. You spawn, you run around for 8 seconds, you get shot and die, rinse and repeat. You have to hand it to the BF series devs they know how to make a game last. If i wanted to run around dying every second i'd play counter-strike.

Can't wait to get this game when I eventually get the PS3 (I had COD the original for the PC for Christmas.....my graphics card couldnt handle it
Do you get the atmosphere like you do in Medal of Honour games? Love MOH, just SO feels like you're in a war zone.
