''Coffee shops''

Something interesting popped up, and I wanted to know what the majority of people do.

Personally, I drink in a coffee shop rarely, and when I do, it's usually with friends, (or once during a short lunch break when working) when I've been out all day. Sometimes it's nice to take the weight off your feet and sit in a nice atmosphere with a nice hot mug of something you might not normally have at home to the same taste - eg, hot chocolate is different to most of what you buy in supermarkets. More effort to make, too, to the same presentation.
Or, if I'm out at uni, I don't really want to rush all the way back to my kitchen to just save money.

Anyway. Why do you people drink in coffee shops, if at all, and when?

Personally, I see it as no different to sitting in the pub or a bar during the day.

I've been to Starbucks once. I generally don't go to coffee shops. I would have ticked prefer to sit in a pub as well, but I didn't notice it was multi choice til it was too late

When I'm with my friends we have Coffee and then head to the pub, We have great times.

When I am on my own I will only go for in when I have money and I'm in the mood for one.

I rarely went into coffee shops before university, but we'll often wander off to Costa/EAT/Starbucks in our breaks (or the pub). It's a relaxed, social environment and a nice change of scenery from the university café.

Other than that, I very rarely go in them.

The title made me think of another type of "coffee shop" you'd find in Amsterdam.

Anyway, no, I don't go to coffee shops.

Tim hortons, I go all the time to buy coffee but I rarely stay to drink.
