I didn't mean to dramatize it, it's not like my life is bad or anything. I should have chose a better choice in words

But, like I said, I don't have a girlfriend or anything to take places to. I never hang out with friends, and if I do it's with their car. My job would be really close by, so why do I need to a car? Where I live it rarely rains/snows, and the weather is almost comfy.. perfect temps for riding one. And it's crowded, so it's nice to just pass drivers without getting caught in terrible traffic. Plus it's beautiful where I live, scenery is nice.. except you're supposed to keep your eyes on the road

I guess that's what I mean in 'current life'.

Alright, YOU might not hit another car.. but they can certainly hit you.

Car! You can take four or so friends with you in a car and keep them dry and safer than a motorbike.

see my above post:

(but I've owned 3 GSXR750s, a GSXR1000 and lots and lots of dirt bikes

Nice!!

I own a 2006 GSXR1000 built to Superbike spec so has 198BHP at the wheels, Ohlins everything.....mad machine.......build cost was 50K (AUS) inc the bike and is the most mental thing I've ever ridden. At Phillip Island I went through the speed trap at over a genuine 300kms/hr.....

If you want to see some pics of my race bike checkout :

On the SAFETY factor - bikes are actually less dangerous than being in your car waiting to be cleaned up by another tin top owner falling asleep behind the wheel from boredom....when did you ever hear of a bike rider falling asleep?

But mainly they're safer cause they brake ALOT quicker and you can easily move out of the way of approaching doom > this is what I say by if you treat every single car near or close to you as a potential accident you will NEVER get hit by another car or hit a car yourself (this is rare for a bike rider to be the CAUSE of the acco) so eyes peeled, be paranoid as anhd you'll be fine...........

These things do take some of the enjoyment out of riding tho so thus why I race bikes now cause after starting a stunt company and riding 300,000kms plus on road I know how much having to watch for inconsiderate car drivers ruins your day.....

Unless you're sitting at a stoplight and some jerkoff doesn't see you and runs right into you.

But I think what they mean by 'car is safer' is that if you're in a serious accident in a car.. you have many factors that help you survive: seat belts, airbags, the car itself. Where as if you're in an accident in a motorcycle you really have nothing to help you except clothing plus a helmet. Car vs motorcycle, not good chances there

Ride CBR125 as a learner for meny years = meny CBT's.

You only restricted when you pass on a 125 for 2 year l can't remember the power, you could buy a 600cc have it restricted, 2 years up get it de-restricted or do a direct access when you pass you can ride any cc, but next year they making the test harder, there is still the on road bit and now the off road bit going around a course.

Getting a 600cc restricted is stupid because the size and weight of the bike with such a small engine will kill the power to weight ratio so it would be terrible to ride
