PS3 by far, free online, and its now as good as Live with the 2.40 update, just need the games to bring out patches.

well for me i have been a playstation boy since the ps1, the xbox 360 is a great machine but my loyalty is with sony

They're the Elite ones they show at Showcase things. It's weird how they use the Elite and not the arcade. But yes, it does stop it. Because I asked gamestation xD Thats why I couldn't force the RRoD there and not GAME, because GAME were using an Elite.

The Premium console basically is the Arcade with a hard drive. They are both the same general console.

You really do come up with the most far fetched crap when trying to defend the Xbox 360...

That piece of information is 100% false.

The RRoD occurs when a wire inside the console melts due to overheating. How buying an arcade machine and then buying a harddrive apparently cools the console down, I'll never know.

Why on earth is that weird? The Elite is by far the most powerful Xbox console available and is far superior to the Premium and Arcade. 120GB of RAM compared to the 20 that you get with the Premium and 0 that you get with the Arcade.

I meant amount of space on the harddrive.

The Elite has a 120GB hard drive. The Premium has a 20GB hard drive. The Arcade doesn't have a hard drive.

The Elite also has an HDMI slot which isn't present on the other 2 consoles.

A wire melting, or the lead-free soldering? Apparently, MS decided to use lead-free soldering and that is what causes it, because lead-free soldering melts resulting in three flashing quadrants of light known as the Red Ring of Death. However, a lot of information on the topic that is currently circulating the internet is speculation.
Also, MS believe that, by using a 65nm chip in the new generation of X360s, rather than a 100nm, the chances of getting the RRoD will be dramatically reduced and, they hope, non-existent.
