Yep- lots of machines come under the category of "computer." More precisely, both laptops and desktops come under the category of PCs (Personal Computers) which is then divided into sub-categories desktops and laptops, with which this thread concerns itself...

I usually use desktop, but am on my Dad's laptop at the moment. The hard disk died on me about a week and a half ago.
