I voted no and I'm vegetarian.

They should, however, be treated humanely. Yet 'equal rights' imply that they're eligible to apply for the Job Seekers Allowance and receive free medication under the age of 16 (up to 18 if in full time education), or over the age of 60. Which I think is a bit silly.

I don't think cows live that long anyway.

If you wish to see some veggie/omni arguments outside of 'killing is cruel' and 'meat tastes good' tennis match, FWSE 'Gary Francione'

N.B. Vegan site by a vegan

Personally love the term 'Moral Schizophrenia'

Equal rights as in freedom to a natural life, non-exploited existance etc, basically everything they deserve...yes. To vote...no, because they can't do that.

you just have to bear in mind that humans are humans and cows are cows therefore you cannot apply the same 'rights' to each.
but i do only believe that all animals bred under human control should live as they would in thier natual environment until the day they are slaughted or not in the case of dogs ect.
That is why i believe in organic produce only as they are not stuck inside or pumped full of antibiotics.

god made chickens for me GREAT SUNDAY ROAST ...GOD MADE COWS for the best meat in the world. what would texas be like with out cows being eaten. o.o im british.

plus WHO gives a poo poo...u rather live off leaves...plus i bet you would'nt be posting this if cows eat HUMANS like lions and plus we could also SAY who are we to give cows rights...come on its not like they are protesting...they get alot of food and they dont have to work for it...plus the reason cows dont have rights is because they have not spoken out about being eaten on a weekend.

Plus the world is not a nice place.
other animals kill and hunt we humans just cut out the hunting part.

i hate most veg and i dont think i could live off plants for the rest of my life...and i think that eating a plant is killing it...next thing we know we have people asking for plants to have rights.
