What is the World Coming To????

As I'm sure many have heard of this really interesting news lately in the Middle East... Israel has cut off electricity, water, and gas from Gaza "to punish Hezbollah". How long and hard did they think about this??? What what going through their mind? Did they ever think of the most blatant consequence of civilian suffering??? And when other countries try to give aid to civilians, Israel refuse the entry of aids!!! Im sure there other ways of trying to punish a small group of people than cutting off everything from a WHOLE CITY and making civilians suffer!!! And even if there are no other ways, that is no way to act! But we are talking about Israel, who have gone against many humanitarian laws! But thats not the main thing that surprises me, its the fact that other countries are merely watching and not taking action against Israel! And there is no bias in this, as I would never allow such a thing by any nation for any reason whatsoever!! Please share your thoughts without taking this into racism and off topic.

I'm not 100% up with what is happening between Israel and Gaza except that I know they have been fighting for years. I'm also vaugley aware of the fact that this is a land dispute caused by the west by a decission made 90 years ago?
I also watched a documentry on the conflict a while ago. Sadly people had been fighting and tit for tat killing for so long that it had simply become a way of life for them, even to the point of arming children with machine guns and teaching them hate.
I wholeheartedly agree that there needs to be an intevention but what I don't understand is where the UAE are? There are always complaints about the west interfearing but surely this is their chance to step up and help for a change? However, if they are not willing and able then at least the UN should step in.
It's terrible, obviously beyond words, that people are being denied water, gas, and electricity but unfortuatly these are the levels and lower that human beings will stoop to in war. ALL the people involved are in my thoughts and here's to a very speedy and peacful resolution.
