Default This is a very good game Online

I was extremely critical of the gameplay of 07/08 as in neither game game, the most skilled player would be able to win consistently.

But I have been playing this game online since thursday and am loving it more and more. I can acually play the game my style and it rewards it. Quick 1 touch passing, counterattacking and am absolutely rolling players who have had this game since release. My last 10 games Ive scored an average of 5 in each.

I never changed my gamestyle since 04 which was based on the same quick 1 touch passing and quick vision and I domintated in that game too.

I still see some people trying to use 08 tactics of the longball.

This is not to say that every long term player is a noob, some give me a good game and I'm impressed with the way they play too but I still come out on top in the end (so far). But most play like noobs, are extremeley predictable and then rage quit after 5-0.

I just need to learn how to be a bit more clinical infront of goal and how to take set pieces and I'll be even more unstoppable. Too bad there's no practice mode.

Question... That number by your online name is that experience points or something? Mine is very low since I just started but I see others range from 5000 - 800,000.

I can gather by this post that you were one of the many noobs who used to think that he was good at fifa.

Running down the wing 65 yards and cutting in to shoot at an obtuse angle

Or hoofing a longball and stealing it off a defender to get a shot in 08.

In both of those games I tried to play the proper way but they were totally noobproof, built for scrubs like you and I quit after 2 weeks.

I hope 09 keeps the same gameplay, there really is a variety of ways to move the ball up the field and score and not 1 single way thats miles better than all the rest that everyone goes for over and over, like Fat Frank over here used to do.

btw no one answered my question about that number beside the players name.

yeah mambo, ur gonna love the way 09 will play then. not only r the one-touches faster they r more fluid. trapping the ball looks amazing along with the new collision animations. more more more realistic. granted it aint the same as real life, but better than any other football game out there. u can use those points u acquire to edit ur avatar when signed on to ea servers. its pretty cool. and of course players(most) would use the long ball to beat defenses and never ever play tactically. it was very boring and redundant playing against those guys. uero does allow u to be more creative and find diff. means of attack which is why i love the game so much. although there r guys that just use nothing but thru passes to score and long balls across field still. however with being able to adjust defense better u can shut them down. thats what is going to make 09 so great. being able to tweak even more than ever, which in turn means finding new and DIFFERENT ways to score.

Thats kinda pathetic that you create a brand new account just to rage at me. I must be the **** then if I'm worth that much hastle.

Rank 0's? I highly doubt 600,000-800,000 would be considered a rank 0 considering I only have 860 up to this point.

They all think that I've created a new account or something.

Like I said not everyone plays like noobs but most do.

What platform do you play on?

I'm never one to back down to a challenge.

Some guy was doing this to me alot yesterday. Long 40 yard through passes out to the wing and long diagonal cross field through passes. It was hard to defend against since the winger he was passing to is usually off the screen to begin with.

What kind of defence do you use to stop that? Right now I just go default everything except I use full field pressing.

You should try and make ur defence stay deep and play "attack" minded on offense but, make sure u turn of counterattack. your defenders will not stay back and then they play the long ball. if ur down tho try keeping c-a on so u can play more aggressive. just experiment with it. i usually on play with a 4-4-2 formation and it works pretty well. what formation do u use? have u tried any others?

i rarely use the cross field long ball but applaud those that use it with effectiveness, it's a tactic. to criticise someone that utilises a deficiency in your defence is sour grapes. it's the exact same as criticising players that utilise the long ball when playing with Jan Koller or Miroslav Klose etc. it sounds like sour grapes, it's part & parcel of football, be that in a game or real life. i'd love for players to play their way to victories all the time but. . . that won't happen.

i have no need to doubt that you play the game well but what is the point of this post? you claim you're "unbeatable"e, which is over-confident to say the least. i have 'friends' in the top 50 that i play daily & i share victories with them evenly. what i would say is, play better competition because if you're averaging 5+ goals per game you're obviously not testing yourself enough.

i'm not the best player on the game but i will say that i have beaten the best, it's simply a case of swings & roundabouts. i tend to struggle with players ranked in the 3000s where as my record against the 'top' players is something i'm proud of. if you find yourself averaging 5 goals a game for 10 games i trully doubt you're playing 'top' players but if you are, good luck to you & see in the Euro lobby some day.

(i'm ranked in the top150 btw)

i agree, i dont mind players using long balls/ through balls against me but it is poor play if they use the same tactic time after time to score.
I'm really not that good at this game online, but i like to play defensively and hit on the break with belarus or bulgaria. I find playing deep generally stops opponents that use france from overwhelming my defensive with attacking talent.
