How to create your avatar and view uploaded videos

Here is a guide to help you create your avatar, and view your uploaded videos for UEFA EURO 2008.

Before you can create an avatar or view your uploaded videos, you must have linked your PlayStation 3 user name / Xbox 360 Gamertag to your EA account. Some of you may have done this previously, if this is the case then you need not link your PlayStation 3 user name / Xbox 360 Gamertag to your EA account again.

Once you have linked your PlayStation3 user name / Xbox 360 Gamertag to your EA account, you are now ready to create your avatar for UEFA EURO 2008, or view your uploaded replays!

How to link your PlayStation 3 Username to your EA account

Go to EA - FIFA 08, Battlefield 2142, The Sims 2 Pets, Need For Speed, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08, FIFA Manager 08 and log in with your main EA account details.
Choose the “My Account” option on the left hand side of the screen.
Click on the “My Full Account Details" link located on the right hand side of the screen (beneath country selection).
A new "EA Account Manager" window will open.
Follow the "Personas" link.
Select the "Link an Existing Persona" option.
Use the drop-down menu to select “PlayStation Username” and enter the PS3 Username that you wish to link to your EA account.
Select "Submit and Continue."
This should generate an e-mail to your registered e-mail address.
Follow the link contained within the e-mail. Once that is done, your PS3 Username will be successfully linked with this account.

How to link your Xbox 360 Gamertag to your EA account

Go to EA - FIFA 08, Battlefield 2142, The Sims 2 Pets, Need For Speed, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08, FIFA Manager 08 and log in with your main EA account details.

Use the drop-down menu to select “XBOX Gamer Tag” and enter the Xbox 360 GamerTag that you wish to link to your EA account.

Follow the link contained within the e-mail. Once that is done, your Xbox 360 GamerTag will be successfully linked with this account.

How to create your avatar

There are two possible ways to create your avatar, you can either use the existing EA SPORTS World, which may be more familiar to you through using it for FIFA 08, or you can use the new EA SPORTS™ Football World site, which is currently specific to UEFA EURO 2008. To login at either site, you will need to login using the EA account details that your persona is linked to.

Using EA SPORTS World

Ensure that your PlayStation3 / Xbox 360 persona is selected as your current active persona, this will be denoted with with your PlayStation3 user name followed by "(PS3)", or your Xbox 360 Gamertag followed by "(XBOX360)".
Click on the "Edit Profile" button - Image
Select "Avatar" - Image
Select "UEFA EURO 2008"* - Image
Create your avatar, save it and then click on "Close".
It can take up to 48 hours for your newly created avatar to appear in-game.

Using EA SPORTS™ Football World

Click on the "Visit Avatar Store button - Image
Select "UEFA EURO 2008"* - Image
Create your avatar, save it and then click on the "X" to close.
It can take up to 48 hours for your newly created avatar to appear in-game.

*You must select UEFA EURO 2008 for your avatar to appear in-game, creating your avatar the using the "Web" default will only result in the avatar being shown on EA SPORTS World / EA Football World.

How to view uploaded videos

In order to view the videos that you have uploaded, you will need to login at EA Football World using the EA Account details that your persona is linked to.

Viewing uploaded videos

Click on "Profile" - Image
Click on the "play" button for the video you want to view - Image
If you want to download the video to your PC, click on the "Download this video" button*. Alternatively, if you no longer want the video, then you can delete it by clicking on the "Delete" button - Image

*You will need a .flv player in order to view the downloaded videos on your PC.

I get an error when trying to link my PlayStation3 user name / Xbox 360 Gamertag to my EA account
If you receive an error when trying to link your PlayStation3 user name / Xbox 360 Gamertag to your EA account, you will need to contact EA Customer Support who will be able to assist you.

I haven't receive an e-mail as suggested in step 9
This e-mail can take up to 48 hours to arrive, but typically arrives shortly after submitting your request. If, after 48 hours you still have not received the e-mail, and you successfully submitted the linking request, check your spam box in case the e-mail has been filtered. If the e-mail still cannot be found, you will need to contact EA Customer Support who will be able to assist you.
