So very disappointing

Just thought of something i like the cameras, and the £39.99 EA have saved me buying this RUBBISH
Look it's semi-pro on the demo, of course it's easy lalala!

FIFA was too hard to score for many people, so it's natural that they've made one end of the levels much easier, the other end will remain the same.

Jeeeez

Harder to score because you had to build play pass the ball and use the skill learn the game and master it, then when you do score it is so much more rewarding like real life

Will the game be released on PC format? And are club sides included?

not sure whether it has been mentioned already but why not give us the possibility to adjust the camera angles ourselves, like in older versions? for me personally, the dynamic cam is zoomed in too much (i'm playing on a 52" and the players are way to big), while broadcast, coop, etc is too far out. Might be different for other ppl but why not give the option so anyone can have it the way they want it? lock the option for online play if you must but at least for the single player it would make sense.

Yes it will mate, the PC demo is already available. Unfortunately for PC users it still uses the old gen graphics engine. Also it is international teams only, so no club teams will be included.

I totally agree mate. I'm the same. I mainly use Dynamic (or classic dynamic as it is now called) but it is a little too close. When I switch to tele or the new Co Op I find them a bit too far out. A designated camera in between would be ideal, or as you say, the ability to adjust it ourselves. Fingers crossed this option or new camera is available in FIFA 09.

Also noticed on the two demos that XBOX 360 is so much crisper and smoother in appearance no jaggies anti aliasing either PS3 demo is full of them again.

I would say if you have to buy this game get it on the XBOX360 looks cleaner, although gameplay seems identical that is if you have both machines.

UEFA Euro 08 unfortunately doesn't get rid of the bug where you sometimes can't switch players. It's pretty easy to check: pass the ball around in the defense and while the ball is on its way try to change players - it doesn't work. While the target player is waiting to receive the ball, he can't be changed. I really hoped EA fixed this as it's one of the most annoying bugs in FIFA08 :-(

Didn't check whether they improved the engine so that at least player switching is possible again when a ball was intercepted. This is the annoying part of this bug.

You can do the same thing in Euro 08. YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CONTROLS THE PLAYERS.

Blalalahe halves are only 2 minutes so you don't really get the chance to play slow build up.

The passing, it's pseudo-changed and inconsistant.

You have a "power" meter, granted but the passing is exactly the same to that of on FIFA. The longer you hold it down, the furthest man the player will pass to, that's all. It isn't a power meter, as such. I wanted to pass to Henry who was about 5 yards away, i held the power meter three-quarters of the way up, and it passed to him so softly it hardly reached the kid.

Are you using assisted or manual passing?

Yeah the shooting-meter is faster than in fifa08: this affects the control you can have on the direction of the shoot and on the curling of the shoot, the game in general is faster than before but what we pay is less control in shooting, dribbles...i think this is a wrong choice, and this new game pace affects the playability of the be a pro mode...now that mode is less enjoable than before. really a shame..

I always play using manual on every setting (my friends also do). It's a little bit trickier the first few games, but it adds a lot of fun an depth to the game. And you have the feeling, that really YOU shot the goal. I'm really missing the manual settings on other football games since I got used to it.

Yeah, and then it never goes where you want it. The point is, why do they put the power metre there for /auto/semi passing if it's useless?

Oh, right. So then everyone spends £40 on the game to find out it has the same problems as the demo? Look at the Thread Title - CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

Tool.

You need to aim the passes as well when using manual passing.

Fans dont wear football tops, doesnt look like a real match. If you watch Euro 2008 you'l see most fans in thier teams tops or colours, fans in this game look like thier going shopping.

I don't think it's useless, because if you play again human players the opponent now don't know if you're going to pass or lob, which is IMO quite important (esp. with freekicks, corners, etc.).
