Nearly every shoot makes you goto a cut scene of the manager, really annoying.

The skill moves is much better. Now you can actually pass a defender with stepovers. And the animations for skills are much better.

I guess but football is more about general passing than skill moves. If they make it to easy with the tricks then its not going to play anything like actual football.
Prefer a more solid passing style game... skill moves should be kept to a minimum IMO

it was easy to pass because it was semi-pro. the cut scenes are annoying, the passing is better, so is the shooting and the A.I. The biggest improvement of all is the responsiveness.

nice to see managers in the game, despite a completely empty dug out behind them with no coaches, substitutes or medical staff.

Yeah, I think some are overreacting, since demos aren't the full game.

There are probably features left out and tweaks to the difficulty levels and AI.

Hopefully the debated quirks are ironed out before release.

The one advantage Americans have in getting the game released a month later is that we don't have to be test-rats. If the game sucks, none of us will have wasted our money on it by the time word gets out.

*Single Player Mode Camera View: As of right now you're not able to select " Be a Pro " camera for single player mode. I greatly hope that changes from the demo to the full version or I think I'll be passing (with my new meter mode above my head) entirely on this game.
I totally agree on those 2 points here.
The " be a pro " has been a "must" for me in fifa08!!! Please dont make the same mistakes of PES game designers, beginning to implement a new great improvement and removing it in the next episode of the game

The player movement was ok in fifa08!!! Like in real soccer, if you want to dribble a player you have to use some tricks like feints and so on..
and like in real soccer only few players can perform those tricks!!!
Now players run like in PES..too much too long and too fast!! this is a big mistake imho.

The cutscenes are fine, but I wish EA would put more angles in for the replays after the goal. Mix it up a bit, it's the same 3 angles all the time!

The demo of EURO is better than the full version of FIFA 08, so I'm happy

ALso, if EA made the keepers "better", most everyone would complain about that. Wait until the full version to gripe about them...

I agree.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm loving the game. Woke up early this morning just to play it some more!!

Responsiveness above all is what really caught me. Nothing like 08!

as for the demo, PS3 version seems fairly smooth, but the cut scenes are so annoying, its not even funny. i cant stand seeing the coach more than 2 times during the game, i hope theres an option to not have them in the retail version.
See thats what worries me, the fifa 08 keepers online have the brain of 'semi pro' so imagine how its gna be online on euro

Thanks again for the feedback. Keep them coming.
Why bother EA do not listen, the positive feedback on FIFA 08 and you discarded the game and went back to the old ways............. so much culd have been acheived with this title and wasted, good knows now what FIFA 09 wil lbe like, hopefully this is a blip and then we will get the true simulation that FIFA 08 has started and FIFA 09 could be

For the first time since buying all the Games since the Megadrive, i will not be getting this one.

I think it's our responsibility as consumers to bring certain qualities or lack there of to EA's attention, not only pre-EURO 2008' but post EURO 2008'. This of course, is in the hopes that, as you said, FIFA 09' is the best product available on the market for a football game.

Whether or not EA will listen, I couldn't tell you. But ya gotta try, right?

This is pretty much it not a lot of change now no time, i cannot think of anything i like response quicker because they speeded it up.commentary so bad, ai don't get me started improved on FIFA 08 it's actually worse
No refs no linesman so bad weather effects, who asked for cut scenes of managers (still lag by the way).
Run the whole pitch score.why bother with formations and strategy pointless just pick up and score. of course UEFA 2008 championships wil be just like this Croatia winning 10 nil.

So very disappointing

Just thought of something i like the cameras, and the £39.99 EA have saved me buying this RUBBISH

Some minor but noticeable passing issues from both FIFA and Euro games:
1. Players use their weak foot too often and use it unneccessarily.
2. Players use outside foot to pass too much. It is overused in the game since players most of the time use their inside foot in real life.

Not really a huge deal, but fixing it would add more realism.

I agree with BoulDvd a more control over players doesnt mean they have to run so fast, and it doesnt mean we need to speed up the game.
We can have a faster response without speed up the game pace.
I noticed byotherhand that the field seems now a little bit smaller than in fifa08..

I think that a game like fifa can satisfy both hardcore players and casual players..for that we have manual controls and assist controls..its enough to satisfy everyone we dont need an arcade version of fifa08.

Lets start with questions first.......

1. Will the rain effects be used in ranked games ? If not WHY....

2. Why no 5v5 ?

Pros:

*Great improvement from Fifa 08 in all area's.
*New ball physics.
*New camera view "CO-OP camera" which i love by the way.
*Create you own celebration.
*Great sound track as always.
*Fantastic commentary and general effect sounds.
*New passing meter which works great.
*New weather effects including field conditions change, mud & water spots.
*New penalty & free kick system.
*Tricks now works
*Through balls work alot better and smother.

Cons:

*Same graphics except with the amazing cut scenes.
*No 5v5
*No referee on pitch or side line referee either.
*No more arena practice.
*Constant cut scenes.

So ok overall this game kicks some serious butt, but lets not go overboard i mean its still Fifa 09 beta even if they say its not.

But im still going to get anyway becasue its a great improvent from Fifa 08, and lets not forget EA works there butt to get these games the best they can for us in the time they have SO APPRECIATE IT....
