I've been playing in the daily tournies and can shoot about 8 under on Amateur, 3 or 4 under on Pro and I can't even break even on Tour Pro. Am I missing something!?
How the hell do these people get loads of Eagles and shoot daft scores. I can only just get in the scoring places and get like $25000, at that rate it'll take me till next year to get to $5M. I know how to use the power boost, I can use the spin but can't often sink the ball from off the green (only done it once), my putting game is pretty good but most of the time I'm within a few inches on a long put but they tend not to go in. Can someone give me some tips please on how to improve my game to at least give me a chance of going under par on Tour Pro! Cheers. |

The key to low scores, in any mode, is getting your approach shot right. Practice this as much as you can and your game will improve no end.
Powercap does not really matter on most holes, except for a few very long holes which can be difficult to reach in 2, but it is the same for everybody. When you drive, don't necessarily try to hit the ball as far as you can. Pick on a club for your approach shots, like the pitching wedge or 9 iron or any other club you are comfortable with, and try to hit your drive to the point where you can use that club with a 100% shot into the green. It's also useful to look for a flat spot on the fairway to land you ball on, that will make the approach shot a bit easier. Get to know your clubs and how the ball reacts when you you use them. Find out how much each club makes the ball spin back or roll through and then use that info when making your shot. Tune your clubs properly for your style of play. The power, workability and loft are all things that can radically alter how the ball will react when it lands. I started playing TW golf with TW08 and I didn't start to improve significantly until I started to regularly play in Tour Pro mode. In that mode you are forced to think more about the shots you are making before you make them. This will also make you game in the other modes better. Some of use use controllers that are less sensitive to hook/slice than the standard PS3/Xbox ones, and we often get accused of cheating because of that, but EA, Sony and Microsoft seem happy enough for them to be used. Above all keep playing and practicing, there are no real shortcuts to getting better, even if you use a third party controller. |

you may feel that these guys getting -30 and even as low as -51 are glitching,,,,but just make sure you hit good shots of the tee and dont try too hard,,,jus make sure you hit some good shots into the fairway and you'll have a good chance of getting at least -20 for 4 rounds, thats pretty much standard to be honest
