EA ’S TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 10 DEMO AVAILABLE NOW ON XBOX LIVE AND PLAYSTATION NETWORK

May 21, 2009 – Come experience the thrill and spectacle of tournament golf! The Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 demo is now available on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. Play a couple of holes in the demo and get an early taste of what the real-life PGA TOUR pros will be facing at this year’s U.S. Open on Bethpage Black and Turnberry, which will be hosting the 2009 British Open. Gamers will also get a chance to check out the all-new Tournament Challenge mode as the demo features a playable event from the famous 17th hole at THE PLAYERS Stadium Course - TPC Sawgrass.

First impressions:

Can the trace line behind the ball be turned off in the full game, seems unrealistic (to those of us who never used the turbo button in 09).
Rain just seemed a visual thing with no effect on the fairway or green.
When raining having spectators in their t-shirts and shorts was weird, any chance of someone drawing up some umbrellas or raincoats, same with more variation in spectators, seems there is a lot of incest going on.

Liked the challenge mode, well done for making it remember your last club and shot aim when retrying a failed drive or putt.
Think I liked the newer putting mechanic better as well.

Darth, you CAN turn off the comet trails in the full game.

The demo had been completed at least 3 months ago, heck it still said the release date for US as June 16th lol when it's now June 8th.....

I hope you guys at EA Tiger woods are not expecting a good review of pga10 because you will be in for a shock if its anything to go by the demo!

First off, WHATS THE RAIN FOR ?? It does nothing but add a bit of atmosphere, and im guessing this effect means you do not have to strive for better a draw rate with it being all cloudy and gloomy looking with the rain, i do appreciate this added effect but if it has no effect on game play then why bother!
i will give you a 10 for adding the rain
but i give you a minus 6 for it having NO EFFECT on the play which makes it 4/10.

As a poster already said the spectators in the game are all similar and suspects incest, and he also mentioned that they are wearing t-shirts whilst its raining,
I don't even have to say anything else to add to that but FAIL, yes guys you FAIL, 0/10.

Courses- well i see you guys think we gamers have a short memory because in the demo you say that TURNBERRY AILSA and TCP SAWGRASS are NEW courses, ahem really? FAIL AGAIN 0/10

The Welcome to (whatever course your on) boards actually show scores now 10/10

BALL TRAIL ahem NO its not good at all guys please remove this as its a bit too cartoony 0/10

PUTTING SYSTEM is new but not very good at all,
the 3 button hit or swing system worked perfect you should have just made it work as in if the indicator says you can get the ball somewhere then you should get the ball there if you hit it correctly! 2/10

Im not sure if you can keep your created character with history from 09' but if you cant then thats just lalalala.

I suspect that the best thing besides just playing the career in PGA TOUR 10 will be the play the pro mode.

i will rent the game just so i know whats actually in the game and weather i want to go buy it or not, so far it looks like i wont be because its basically just going to be £30-£35 for the play the pro mode, thats not happening!

If you guys want to put up some extra courses for 09' like all the previous that were not in 09' just so i can extend the life of my 09.'

my score rated from the demo is 4/10,

CAN YOU GUYS JUST PLEASE GET THIS RIGHT for 2011 ?

or even just release a TRUE TO ROOTS GOLF GAME with all the different competitions from Europe, Asia, Africa, south America, Canada,
north America,, with ALL the courses that is played in these tournaments.

Fill the game disc with LUSH GRAPHICS DYNAMIC WEATHER AND IN GAME FEATURES and GAME MODES and if there is any space left then add a big test area like in 07' and ONE course or if you cant put a course on then add a few holes
ADD ALL THE FULL COURSES AS DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT.

ON THE DISC= the usual create a character and photo face etc, and a name selection list for the commentator to say your name like in pro evo and the usual gear choices of clothing and balls and clubs etc etc

A WALK THE COURSE MODE which lets you move a cam anywhere to see the bumps and lumps of the green or look to see whats on the other side of the trees etc.

MOVIE EDITOR; like walk the course mode but this will let you place like 10 or so adjustable cameras anywhere on the course even a view from the spectators stands, these cameras could be set to track and zoom to the ball. take still pics of the course or player celebrations etc.

FULL STATS TRACKING with overall comparison table for offline and online,

DYNAMIC WEATHER SYSTEM and the choice to have the actual local weather at whatever course your on at the time by using the weather channel for a guide. this would obviously need to have an effect on the ball.

and of course have different types of spectators one spectator set dressed for summer/sunny/warm days another set dressed for cold and another set for rainy days.

MULTIPLAYER,
all the usual game modes like skins etc and add the new play the pro,
if you can connect for example 8 players to one console then have the option for 8 players offline and online,

and please add things like caddy's, and when you take a shot from the sand add the guy who re does the sand after your shot,
and i see that you have made the
(WELCOME TO (whatever course your on) boards more interactive keep that feature.
and if you catch up to someone who is already at the green ready to putt then it would be good to see an animation/cut scene of him/her place a marker while you take your shot etc.

So if you fill the disc with all the features then put all the courses on the marketplace so we can download that would be sweet id pay £50 - £60 for the lot!

I know if you were to make the game with the features i have just mentioned then you would have a legend of a game,

im sure with ALL the people you have working on tiger10 then you could come up with something better than what i (one person) has just suggested.
