I think the game difficulty is fine. I like the gamerface idea, i think that online is good, right up until i want to play against my mate. I had to work out how to do it, there was no assistance from the manual. Also after every round, it disconnects from the lobby and i have to set up a new lobby room and go through it all again. Also i cant play online with my mate and my wife at the same time. I just bought the firestone cc course, i think that the dlc is region locked. Why?, I have now paid for something I cannot ever use. Now I will not buy dlc for this game again. Can that be fixed? I have a legit copy of the game as there is nothing illegal about buying an imported copy, a legit download of the content and i cant play it. Peas and rice gents! Also no weather changes, i would like some, the out of bounds is too tight and there are not enough camera options, sometimes i cant even see my golfer too take my shot. That aside i love it.

Just migrated from lalalao TW09. Am very disappointed that I cannot now play with a 'guest' on the Tour offline. That was a great feature that both my wife and myself really enjoyed. It is not the same playing 'one-off' games and not having the competitive feel of two of you playing against the best, as you can in lalalaaking out the 'guest' player in the offline game is a really retrograde step!

I also miss the sponsorships. It was good fun having to decide what equipment to use in a round; do I play the round and get more sponsorship money or do I use the best equipment I can? To be honest, after this release it doesn't matter. I (and my friends) won't be buying it again. The game is now just mutton dressed up as lamb. Looks great but the gameplay is poor. I wish I still had my old x-box, at least the gameplay was decent. After 3 days the disk went back in its box. I doubt it will ever be used by me again. Being honest, I detest this version. Shoddy programming from an obvious lack of respect for the buying public. I don't just want eye candy. I want a golf game to actually plays as a golf game. Whilst it was fun in the past, it's now had it's time. With EA at the helm there is no chance of it ever reviving either. Do us all a favour, let it die in peace. |

What I find most annoying is that the spectators don't get out of the way.
Occasionally I miss the fairway and land at the base of a tree. My only shot out is a punch shot. problem is that the line I want to take is blocked by a spectator. Whack! straight in to them and stopping the ball. It really annoys me. A nice add in would be a live percentage feature on the swing so newbies can get a feel for it. More courses would be great. And unless I'm missing something, why can't controller 1 and controller 2 have different set ups in quick match? My friend and myself both play as Tiger Woods so we are evenly matched. Can't find how to set up the controllers so mine is left joystick swing, his right joystick swing. As I say, maybe it's just me missing something. I like the idea of a green grid on approach shots. I'm 50/50 on getting rid of the after hit spin control. It really shouldn't be there, but has occasionally helped me avoid a terrible leave. On the subject of the spin controller. It is rather annoying if you do need help from the extra spin and the camera changes to a different view. You have no idea what spin to give the ball as your looking from the side, or from the green with the ball coming towards you. Ah yes, the out of bounds. What can I say that has not been said before? First of all I want to say that I just recently switched from Tiger 06 to 08 and I am VERY DISSAPOINTED. This game has so many problems with it that I wish I could take it back. Let me list some of the many problems I've experienced so far (and I've only had it for a week).
(1) Photo game face- I uploaded photos to the website and when I tried to download them from xbox live I kept getting an error stating that I have not downloaded any photos to the EA servers. So I emailed tech support to find out the solution to my problem, they explained to me that they are having technical difficulties with the Photo game face server and hope to have everything working soon. typical customer service runaround lalalala they fed me because after checking every day for like 3 days I decided to check around the forums to see if other people were having the same problem I was, and sure enough they were. That's when someone said that THERE IS A FILE SIZE LIMIT TO THE PICTURE YOU CAN USE!!! Why doesn't it say that anywhere? It's not on the instruction book, on the game itself, or on the website, and tech support couldn't even give me this valuable info. After decreasing the file size of my pictures everything works great. (2)Wrong Physics- So far I have had the ball curve the wrong direction twice!!! And yes, I am sure I was seeing it right. (3)Putt Preview- The putt preview says it is going to go in and it doesn't, this has happened to me about 25 times so far. And yes, I hit the ball perfect at 100% power. (4)Character Selection- I made 2 characters, one of me, and one of my girlfriend. I went to switch from me to my girlfriend and my character was on my girlfriends file with her name and her stats. luckily I don't use the autosave feature or else this could have possible become permanent, I was able to fix this issue by reloading her file. (5)The Shot Stick- I like mine to be the right stick and the games default has always been on the left, so I changed it. Everything was working fine and then out of nowhere it changed back to the left stick! So I went to options to change it back. And it showed that it was set on the right stick, so I changed it to the left stick and that made it the right stick again. ***!!! (6)Camera Angles- This was an issue that I had with Tiger 06 and I do see that they have gotten a little bit better but they still suck. I expected the camera angles to be perfect by now, I mean that is a very important feature in a golf game, to have a good understanding of where the ball went. Its not that hard, the camera should always chase the ball, no matter if its a drive or a putt. A close-up of a putt directly above the ball looking down from 1 foot away and not showing how far away from the hole I was is a major issue. The same thing with a drive that the camera is below the ball and all you see is blue sky in the background, it sucks. Come on EA I thought you would have realized by now that a golf game is Mostly all visual with some hitting the ball here and there. GOOD VISUALS MAKE GOOD GAMES! speaking of visuals lets get to my next point... (7)Graphics- They are the same as Tiger 06, I just thought there would be some improvement after 2 years. Is that expecting too much? ( Control- Compared to Tiger 06 the controls in Tiger 08 are far too sensitive. It is far too easy to hook and slice. And putting doesn't seem as accurate. And I hate it when I'm putting and I line the shot up perfect with the right amount of power and the ball rolls over the hole!! come on, I did my part and lined everything up perfectly, cut me some slack! It is a game, its supposed to be fun, not make me mad!(9)Animations- They are ***. Were is my Head Spin form Tiger 06? (10)Menu System- It is very confusing to find things at first, I just feel that it could be made simpler. My final statement is the only thing that makes Tiger woos 08 better than 06 is more courses and Photo game face. And there is allot that makes it worse. I feel that EA has had the same developers on this franchise since it first came out and they don't care much about it anymore because they are bored with it. And I also feel, no I also know that this game was released too soon without working all the bugs out of it because the only thing EA cares about is $$$ and not making great games.

In many ways good but putting is awful. It is totally inconsistent and compares very poorly with Wii Sports Golf. Pity because courses and textures many times superior. Weather has very little impact and lacks realism. The pointer sensitivity is all over the place and adds to the frustration. Also on original loading there was a commentary and golfer animation. Totally escapes me to locate on menus to switch on or off!

As a new boy, the only comment I have is the behaviour of the pictured golfer at the end of a hole. No golfer I have ever met would gyrate/dance around the green/throw his/her club or any of the petulant antics portrayed, and this can only be a bad influence on new players (bit like the attitude of professional footballers). A simple software fix please.

Hi, I passed on your comment (along with others) in the most recent report to the developers.

I just experienced a rather large glitch during play. Playing Best Ball with another player against two CPU players, Montgomerie & Gulbis, at Pebble Beach we got to 9th hole (...or was it the 10th? - It was the hole with a ravine and bridge behind the hole as you approach) when Gulbilalalala a shot into the water, then again, then again... until she was out of shots... then Monty repeated the feat, again, again... out of shots. Not only did this rather large aberration rather ruin the feat of our team beating the two pros but we lost the $200 we wagered for some reason!!!!
As for stuff I'd like to see, here are a few I've come up with in the week or so I've been playing the game... 1) Why should I pay thousands of $'s for a shirt after I've spent hours unlocking it? Either make them unlockable and cheaper or just very expensive. 2) I'd like to be able to see exact club/yardage of CPU players I'm playing against. 3) Different accents/voices in Create A Golfer. I dont want an American accent! (no offence) 4) I agree with above comment about after shot animations. A good idea would be in Create A Golfer mode to have a setting called 'Personality' and have something like 'Stoic', 'Balanced' and 'Emotional' which dictates the animations. Pros would obviously have their own settings. Last edited by tobiwan55; 04-01-2009 at 01:44 AM.. |

Another glitch, this time more annoyingly in Tiger Challenge. Dougherty hit his tee shot at the first into the trees. He then hit his second shot into the trees and kept repeating it over and over from the same place... this time he didnt run out of shots though....

Actually I think the player reactions at the end of a hole are pretty amusing, contrary to the previous comment! As long as you can press a button to skip them. Obviously not proper golfer etiquette but good for a laugh.
I noticed the animation of golfer's putting when close to the cup looks pretty cheap and crappy - the golfer takes a huge swing and follow-through even when the ball has a few centimetres to roll! I've also noticed a few glitches with the commentary when playing a Match Play tournament, the female commentator says things like, "48 under for the tournament!", when this clearly isn't the case and I'm not playing stroke play anyway. I'd like to see a nicer looking menu system when selecting players/courses/options etc, when I want to just "Play now". And a nicer-looking trophy cabinet, instead of having to flick through individual courses in my stats - maybe a single shot of an actual trophy cabinet, with the places filled as I win the various tournaments? Other than that, I play on the Wii and reckon the Wii controls are well utilised, better than expected. The animations are generally OK, although some are better than others. To be honest, I expected more visually, being PGA Tour has been going for many years now! |

I agree with suggestions for new courses like Augusta, that would be great.
As for spin control, although it's there it doesn't mean you have to use it! The game as a whole does need some refining (read other posts) and it's about time EA took notice of everybody who has spent good money on this game. If EA want to maintain or exceed future sales then they have got to sit up and take notice.

I think it's a case for them of 'if it aint broke, dont fix it' approach. I do think if the game came out with 20 more courses and all the bugs ironed out, there wouldnt be many complaints.
I know what you mean about spin though, I dont use it, like the putt preview, even though I'm a relative newcomer. I just find both make it a bit TOO easy. An idea... I would like to see the 'fake' hidden characters put into season mode so that during the season you are challenged by them to play a game for money, thus building up your account and unlocking them in the game, you can choose whether to play these or not. Also, how about Pro/ams? Then you could get some unlockable celebs in the game. (they'd be rubbish, obviously) |

Hi all at EA UK.
Can we have the guests back on the tournaments for 2010? it was gutting coming from TW06 on the ps2 to TW09 on the wii to find out the only offline multiplayer games were pretty much single rounds. A big own goal by the developers imo, especially that being a new game the disc sits in the case. Aside from the multiplayer options it's a class game. If you are having freeze ups and point loss issues, go to the Tiger Development Site.
You need to send EA_MikeDeVault a friend request and a message explaining your freeze ups. If you want answers, we must all tell them what is happening |

Hi guys
I am new to TW09 and experiencing some inconsistencies, glitches. Initially upon starting a game I had a full introduction into ea hole. Camera fly over from Tee to Green. I also lost the commentators voices, introductions etc. ![]() I suspect it to be a setup problem. Any hints how to correct those missing features ?? Thanks from Switzerland erniegolf |

We've now used All Play before reverting back to standard play and this has helped us to understand the putting better, so our previous thoughts about the game ruined because of the putting is withdrawn. What would be good though is for better instructions at the outset...in the tuition section and in the booklet specifically for putting, to save having to learn by chance and so avoid the frustrations we have experienced during the first few days of use.
Other than that we are now very happy and it certainly is v similar to real golf. (We have the double bogeys to prove it!) Last edited by cmurray; 07-03-2009 at 07:57 AM.. |

Before i get into this id like to say i love this game and i ask the makers of the game to take this post as a constructive criticism with the aim of better future development for the enjoyment of the end user and NOT as a bad mark.
I will start with the worst point, I have played PGA TOUR GOLF from back in the days of the SNES when it was actually called PGA TOUR GOLF, so iv seen the progress along the way and enjoyed the benefits as a gamer that this progress brought us. THANK YOU. Now we have had a long chain of titles branded by TIGER WOODS, which im sure has helped his career as much as EA with its game sales, but since the PGA series was first branded with Tiger i feel they have lost something from the game, which is the focus on the end user, time after time we have had the same stuff with one or two small additions like swing system etc, and maybe a new course or two in every other title, which was fine for a while But now, todays console systems with hard drives and the ability to download extra content EA (and others) have a massive opportunity to make EVERYONES game experience more enjoyable than ever before, But sadly this is NOT the case and the DLC opportunity has just been exploited for maximizing profit and not trying to balance user enjoyment and fairness with profit making, as we are being asked to purchase courses which were FREELY available in previous titles, what was wrong with saying "OK we ran out of space on the disc to put all the courses you got in the last title, but hey we have up loaded them for you to get from LIVE and PSN at no charge", After all the PGA tour experience isn't the same without them, and they know this, and capitalized on it in my opinion. This move by EA took a lot of the shine away from the game for me as I'm sure it did for many other loyal followers of the series. Gears of war2 gave us some pretty amazing FREE maps when you bought the game new, and recently CALL OF DUTY WORLD AT WAR gave us one free map, and just a few days ago LEFT FOR DEAD gave us a new multiplayer game mode FREE, FORZA 2 gave us loads of shiny new cars for free and it all came from the DLC market place!.....see where its going EA? If these guys can, so can you! Maybe even ditch TIGER WOODS from the title and get back to roots with maybe PGA TOUR GOLF - 2010 as title? Then we could start to get input from all the other pro's to the extent to which Tiger has been involved for all these years, He just bores me in the game now. Still great to follow in real life, just not in the game anymore, time to give everyone else a place. So what id like to see in the next title on is ANY AND EVERY course from previous titles Included free of charge, IF you guys want to make new courses for the game, like European and African and Asian courses then im definitely going to purchase the whole lot without hesitation. Old content up dated is welcome but we shouldn't be charged for it, But NEW CONTENT for purchase is more than welcome. As for in game issues, I would like to see TAP IN'S come back, CAREER CO-OP OFF AND ONLINE, but make it so one cannot continue progress without the other, and still be able to pursue a solo career when not playing co-op with stats from both being merged. TARGETING; If the target circle allows me to and shows that i can get there, then i should be able to get the ball there, its that simple. EYEBALL VIEW FROM BEHIND THE BALL, so i can see my line choices on the green. FROM TEE, 1 circle showing IMPACT point after user adjustments due to wind and shot power and simultaneously showing a 2nd circle LANDING ZONE, factoring in the bumps and slopes from the impact point, This method could be used for second shot and also on the approach to the green as long as its from the fairway. In cases of your shot coming from a sand pit or on an awkward angled slope PLEASE show us a trajectory line coming out of the shot to its impact point, I can guess these shots fairly well in real life, but in a game its near impossible, Some might say that this is part of the fun of the game, but its not, as the target circle shows where your shot WILL land but when you hit the ball you notice it straying left or right quite a lot and in worst cases you just lost that all important match winning shot, AH well back to the start, NO just fix this issue please. ROLLING COMMENTARY that doesn't stop when you skip player animations and replays, and like in FIFA 09 can we have the opportunity to select a name from a big list for the commentators to say in game? And in career mode it would be cool to have the commentators keep you informed of other golfers scores and leaderboard positions, they could say things like "tiger has just finished the 18th with an eagle which puts him 11 under for today" this keeps me in focus and under pressure and im sure other gamers out there would like that kind of pressure also. The in game board which say "WELCOME TO (whatever course)" should also show your shot, score, standings and then flick over to show overall leaderboard placements, then flick back to "WELCOME TO (whatever course)" it all makes up for good in game atmosphere. battle mode; can we have the distractions back? i liked having the ability to put your opponent off buy clicking the button to make noises. People quitting out of waged games; instead of awarding someone when the other person quits or disconnects just nullify the bet as this can still be unfair, so if these things do happen theres no winners or losers. or in cases of one person quitting out of the game then give the other the win and money, the disconnection thing is tricky, as i have had someone on FIFA 09 pull the plug or whatever he did but i got the loss and when i checked the email score, it said "other guy" 3 - ME 0, which is strange because i was winning 1-0 and as soon as i scored he pulled the plug. That's about it,,,till next time! Sorry about the wall of text. AND NO MORE HAVING TO RE MAKE OUR PLAYERS, IM GETTING SICK OFF HAVING TO CREATE A CHARACTER, AND ALSO START FROM SCRATCH WITH PLAYER HISTORY! Last edited by emw80; 01-05-2009 at 05:19 AM.. |

I just started playing TW10 on PS3, I really enjoying playing it when I have mates round but I find single player dull an repetative. The thing I hate the most is the camera angle when you pitch and the camera goes under the ball, this leaves you not knowing where the ball is going to land and what spin to place on the ball. The new commentators are also poor, with the old two you could feel the banter between them and also added some humour to the game I find the new people dull and to serious.
Also there are hundreds of players with names on the game but hardly any feature as playable characters, I would love to have a bigger selection of golfers and courses, the worst thing was the 1st time I put the game into my console, After paying £40 I was being advised to buy two new courses for £5 each. I would like to Pro/Ams included was it Tiger Woods 05 when Justin Timberlake made an apperance with his character that gave the game a whole new edge and another feature that gave single player some different things to do. A course creation mode would be a great feature or failing that bring back Tiger Proofing from Tiger Woods 05, that was a Great Tiger Woods game and was the game that attracted me to the series, IMO the game has gone downhill from then. Also I was wondering why its called Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and not just PGA Tour 10? I know hes a legendary golfer but no other EA Sports titles are like this for example its not Cristiano Ronaldos Fifa Football or any other players. I'm not saying it shouldb't be called Tiger Woods but was just wondering why.

Hey EA Community
i got some bones to pick wiv TW10. like someone else had mentioned, playing pga season on your own is boring, i like the idea of using the simulteanous shot during ur career is a excellent idea. because u never go out in a tournement ON YOUR OWN! it either a group of 3 for 1st two rounds n group of 2 after the cut. to make that feature more interesting, give the player a choice of who he can go out with on the course for the 1st two rounds (or if ur playing a 2 day tourne, 1st round) then depends on where u place in 1st 2 rounds, then ur partner is decided for u, like a real tournement!!!! 2nd bone to pick!!! like the idea of the practice round b4 the course, gd if u don't kno the course, but u give the player a choice on where u want ur tee ball to be placed in the tee box!!! Y DON'T WE GET THE OPPORTUINTY DURING THE ACTUAL ROUNDS GUYS!?!?!?! the pros recommend if u draw, left to right, u tee your ball to the left of the box, n visa versa for the fade, y are u making us always tee out the centre of the box, is it that hard to get ur animaters to get our golfers to put the tee and ball in the ground, to then address the ball, hey, even for a bit of a laugh as everyone that plays has done it, if there is quite a strongish wind, let the ball fall off the tee, and get the commentaters to mention something about the ball falling off or the positoning of the tee ball!!! 3rdly, hope you guys are taking notes on these! Since when has it become a standard thing to go straight on the pro golf scene in the states??? aren't u suppose to qualify for an amateur event, win said event or amatuer tour, b4 going on the pro curcuit? bring a bit more realism please guys. how is this for a suggestion. Get the created golfer to choose a region from where they are from, so for me eg. i live in the uk, i select my region as UK/Great Britian/England whatever, and then choose a local ish course as my home course, for me wentworth, the is a 1day tournement at wentworth where a famous golfer, lets say Nick Faldo (as European Ryder Cup Captain) is going to be presenting the winners trophy, u need to win that tournement from white tees with what ever your starting stats are (i like the stats as they are, with changes etc.) and if u win, u get the opportunity to join the amatuer PGA or European tours. Once u win the tournement, and join the european/PGA tour, u build up your stats, and start unlocking tiger challenges the more your stats improve, say win your 1st amateur event, (trophy ball & acheivemnt(i play on xbox360) u ave a chance to play a custom character with a chance to unlock them or something like that. actually making a career out of it rather than straight up against the Major Pros. U need to do the Amatuers for at least 1 season, set a number of tournement wins or something, or an amatuers FEDEX cup or somthing, and if u have enough points by the US Open @ Augusta (hint hint) or the British Open @ Celtic Manor (hint Hint) u get the chance to be a amatuer participant in that Major. And if u make the cut or win the event, u can join the Pros, or something like that. Actually going back to the days of starting as the up start like Rory McIlroy & Tiger Woods, and having to make the grade the hard way by doing, if u kno wot i mean. But if u like this idea, (and can fit it on the discs) i suggest with the stats that u but a block on the stats at each level, for in stance, The qualifier @ ur region event, is what ever your starting stats are up to 4.0, amatuers tour up to 7.0 then the Pro Tour 10.0. But in the Amateur Tour, you can only get upgrades on Clubs n that for 1 bonus stat and up to intermediate level, and Pro Tour gets up to 2.0 bonus stats upgrades with advanced and expert clubs etc. I really hope there is food for thought for your creative team there. Any other feedback, i would love to hear TJ Eclipse
