does anyone know how to play multiplayer

do you know how to play multiplayer with different controlers? We have each created different players but can only play at same time sharing a controller what am I missing?????

If you are on the wii the listen up. click on play now and set it up. then you select your own character and set it to controller 1. then he chooses his character and he assigns it to controller 2. u should then be able to play

The same applies to the ps2 and AFAIK, the Xbox. Choose character(s), then a window should appear over each character with options, one is the controller number (or CPU for the computer opponent).

The secret is before you start the game you need to sign in with the controller you're going to use.Go to the Dashboard and at the top you'll see where it says how many profiles. If you have auto sign in turned on you might not see it for long.
If you do then player one will be automatically signed in on controller one.Have the player with controller 2 go to the Dashboard,hit X to sign in and then choose their profile.There needs to be multiple XBox profiles built for this to work.
You can only have one XBox profile per controller but you can use multiple TW profiles on the same controller.
When you do this you need to create separate TW profiles using controller 2.They won't be able to use the profiles created with controller one. Have the person using controller 2 push down on the left stick to bring up profile management where they can create or load a profile.
When you go into the game controller one will have their profile automatically loaded.Player with controller 2 then goes into Profile Management to get their player into the game.
