online problems

i purchased tiger woods08 and had no online problems.got my face in the game,sports ticker working fine but never actually played online.i then purchased fifa 08 and have been playing online problem free and still am but when i now try to go online with tiger it tries to log on to the servers it just tries but never succeeds.when i cancel it crashes the game and i have to reboot my ps3.please help

I am having that EXACT same problem. Glad its not just me. I have only had the game for a couple of days and i have always been connected to the EA servers (i know because i get the scores at the bottom). The one time I try to play online yesterday, i get disconnected and now it won't connect. Same as above, if i cancel it the game doesn't go back to a menu screen and I have to reset.

Are the servers down or is it a problem with our connection???

i seem to have the same problem as davbeatle. i have been online with other games (warhawk and f1 ce) and they work fine. but tiger woods 08 just says connecting to ea servers and doesnt do anythink. all my settings are ok. is the ea server down?? ne help would be greatful!!

yeap i have got the same issue it started about 2 days ago for me before that i had no issues connecting to the ea servers now nothing i have sent messages to the ea team and got a reply they needed more info of me i have given them every detail i can think of i did manage to get on for one game yesterday and the people in the game said they had no issues with gettin on come on ea sort it out seems like this is a problem that is spreading we need it resolved

i rang ea they said to open my ports and check my router. my connection is fine as it works great on all other games. they told me that they knw the fault and many people have the same fault. they told me it started happening on tuesday. EA need to FIX this problem quick.

this really lalalalalala3s me off,not only cause i cant play my fav game online but because ea seem to think its my fault and that my set up is the problem.***.never had any problems with any other game online,GET IT SORTED

hi everone there has been a stick thread put up on the us ea site violet is meant to be dealing with it if you can please post on there about this issue that would be great as the more people we get on this the more chance ea might give us a update as to when this issue will be resolved

Have Tiger08 a few weeks now, can't get online, so frustrating, tried most days, various different times...every other online game I have works perfectly....C'mon EA sort it out....

I've been going through this, and my 5 friends also, for the past 3 weeks now. The story is this (get a cup of coffee and sit back for this one!!!):
Got game, ran for the first time. Get prompted to created EA online account when connecting to lobby and play 1st game no problem.
Next day try uploading photos to make game face and it spends 5 hours trying and crashes. Next day I try to connect to lobby just to play and it sit's saying "Hoobajoob connecting to servers" and then nothing. If I cancel the connection it just crashes the game (spinning view around the Tigers ingame lobby place). I then have to quit game and restart. SO....friends (in 3 other countries ) had the same and I drew the short straw to log a call with EA. I then went through at their advise
(NOTE: No mention to me of server issues at their end!!!)
1) asked to verify ports open
2) tried PS3 in DMZ
3) all ports open
4) just ports from EA open
5) QOS on ports from EA
6) updating firmware of router/ modem
7) Running traceroutes about 9 times to different servers and sending results
Being wireless enabled
9) Being wired to router
10) UPNP switched on
11) UPNP switched off
12) verifcation with my service provider of ports not blocked
13) verification with my service provider of routes not blocked
14) verfication of my online account with EA
15) Asked to recreate another PS3 Network account and relogin to EA
16) ** I will put another line here to cover the MANY times the person I called asked me to do the same thing again since they had not read my file and were to busy asking me to have a nice day **

SO...I have now spent double the price of the game in phone fees to EA support to find that it is becoming apparent that MANY people are having the same issue and that EA have server issues. If they haad just told me that in the begining I would have been annoyed but I would have appreciated the honesty.

BUT EA NEED TO SORT THIS OUT.......Keep bumping this issue and add to this if you have had the same thing happen!!!

BY THE WAY: None of above checks changed anything or helped....it still doesn't work online !!!
