Default To long to load!

Me and my friend both have Spore + Galactic Adventures + Creepy & Cute...
but when i play it on my computer it takes anything from 2-8 mins to load an adventure or you know like story game! When i play it on his computer it takes less than a minute to load which i just don't get!

You may think that you know he has a top-notch computer but strangely he has exactly the same PC as me! we both have had no upgrades (e.g graphics cards etc.)

Our PC's don't really run spore anyway but it's just some minor graphics down-grading and that's it! I don't mind that, it's just the fact that his loads faster...

Really annoyed, i need solutions fast, post them here, thanks.

does your friend have exactly identical programs on his pc and do you both follow the same pc cleanup routine, if 1 or both of these 2 issues are missed on 1 pc and not the other then it will make the 2 identical pc's behave differantly

Default ???

I'm not sure about that...

Do you think you could suggest a cleanup routine on my pc? would really appreciate it. I do know he keeps all these stupid like flash virus stuff on there and all that but i don't see how that would effect it!

thanks... please reply fast! getting really frustrated lol.

open Computer, right click your C drive, click properties then disk cleanup, what security suite do you use and does it include an adware/malware scanner/removal tool ? if so run it, if not come back to me and i'll suggest a good freebie. are u using vista or xp ?

on xp, click start run then type msconfig, on the screen that opens click the STARTUP tab, look down the list and see what starts with your pc, remove the tick from any that your totally sure you dont need running, (if theres any that your unsure about then either google it or ask here) click apply then restart your pc, itll start much faster and your have more ram available to run spore

remove ticks from ezprint, reader_sl, jusched, KBD, msnmsgr, IMVU. you can disable those safely.
"rlvknlg" is spyware, locate the program that uses this process and remove it from your pc, if your not sure how to find out the program name come back to me.
WMPNSCFG is personal choice, its network control for windows media player, if your not connected to a network then disabling it will be ok.
Core is to random to know, again i need to know what program controls the process, again if your unsure how to find that out i'll help.

bring up the msconfig screen again, on the startup tab your see various headings its the 2nd and 3rd heading we're interested in, look at manufacturer 1st, move your cursor to the right edge of the heading that says manufacturer, it should turn into a cross, when it does left click and hold and drag the heading box to the right making it longer, you should now be able to see what it says fully, sometimes even that heading doesnt give all the info you need so return the box back to normal by dragging it to the left and try try heading 3 labelled command, note what both boxes say for "rlvknlg" and "core" and let me know, i check here daily so will be back to you as soon as :-)

rlvknlg = C:\program files\relevent knowledge\rlvknlg.exe -boot - this is known spyware, its not terribly dangorous but better off your pc than on, look for relevent knowledge in control panel, add and remove.
Core = "C:\program files\electronic arts\EADM\core.exe" -silent - this is actually used by Spore, i personally dont have it starting up with the pc but it will do no harm at all if it does.
Once rlvknlg has been removed do a full spyware/malware check, full disk clean and a defrag then try Spore again, let me know the result please ............
