Spore GA, DOESNT WORK

I installed spore galactic adventures onto my pc, and when I play Spore, there aren't any changed, I can't do any Spore Galactic Adventure things. I installed in in the same folder as the Creepy and Cute expansion pack, so I don't know what's wrong. Can someone give me the answer to why it won't work?

did u luanch the normal Spore icon or the spore galactic adventures one (in orange)? if u launched the GA ine then uve probs installed it in the wrong directory try installing it in a diff directory.

i have a similar problem with the spore galactic adventures expansion pack, have spore and played it with no problems then i loaded G.A and played it once.
switchd everything off and came to playit again and the galactic icon opens the spore program and plays the normal spore program, no galactic adventures any where. the icon link go's to Electronic Arts\SPORE_EP1\SporebinEP1
can anyone help as ive tried to reinstall it but this is also a broblem as it wont.

ok i have this problem aswell, spore is updated to version 4.0, i can play spore, however when i start GA, (using the GA icon) its tells me thers an error and needs to close. all drivers have been updated etc etc, like stated before, i can still play normal spore but GA just wont work at all, and yes, its installed in the correct directory

Guys go to either:

(Vista)
C:\Users\(userid)\AppData\Roaming\SPORE\Preference s\

(Windows XP)
C:\Documents and Settings\(Username)\Application Data\SPORE\Preferences\

(Mac)
Users\User Name\Library\Preferences\SPORE Preferences\p_drive\User\Application Data\Spore\

then rename Preferences.prop and the Login.prop to .old then try

I have got pretty much the same problem, and the directory that LordJericho posted does not exist on my laptop. Plus, when my laptop did randomly shut down, it created a duplicate folder (SPORE_BP1 (0)). And whenever I exit the Captain Creator, I'm just looking at my cursor which is surrounded by... nothing. EA really need to release a patch.
However, when the duplicate folder appears, Spore GA can't start at all.
SPORE_BP1 is just a doppelganger.

That because the files are hidden, I forgot to mention that part.

Im not sure how to do it for mac or even if you have to do it but anyway; For Vista/Xp (do note this will show all hidden files and folders, also there are other ways of doing this, this way is my personal preference)
Whilst in a folder, it doesn't matter which, press f10, if necessary to show the tool bar, then click tools and select folder options, next click the view tab, then in hidden files and folders, select show hidden files and folders, and finally select apply to all folders, then yes, then click apply.

BP is C&C not GA which is EP and the captain creator thing is just your computer being slow it does it on mine as well.
