What is the current latest version of Spore for Mac?

Just installed and activated a fresh copy of Spore on Mac OS X 10.5.6 yesterday. Upon first running Spore, I was prompted to download and install a patch. It failed a few times, but eventually, it looks like several patches were applied.

I want to confirm that my copy was successfully patched, but I don't know where to obtain information about which version of Spore I am running. The best I've been able to find is to Command-Return the game while running to bring it into Windowed-mode. Then if I click the Spore menu and select "About Spore" I get:

Version 3.0 Mac (1)

Also, I noticed that every time I run Spore, the following gets printed to the system console:

We've got 2 copies of spore for Mac OS X here and the same thing seems to happen - except we haven't yet seen a patch complete.

Just to put the cream on the cake we have issues with the creature builder being nothing but a black screen in the centre so growing your creature isn't possible (we'd hoped the un-appliable patch might fix this).

By and large, this has been the worst experience we've ever had with Mac software - It feels like being back on a Windows machine.

Sometimes "Error 70000001" is displayed instead of "Error 70000005". Does anyone know where these Error Codes are defined?

So regardless of the update issues... anyone know how to find out what version of Spore is installed on a Mac?
