Spore Crashing

I'm sure there are many people with the same problems, but I have just bought Spore today, installed it fine and everything appeared to be working.

However whenever I have to click on a 'tick' or a 'next' of some form (for example when it first teaches you how to play in the creature form, or when you are on the main screen and you have to click to play a world) the game freezes.
I have found, oddly enough, is that the only way to get it working again is to Ctrl, Alt, Del and then when the Vista screen comes up, click cancel and it will work again until the next time I need to click.

The game runs fine other than that.

Until I am in the creature stage and my creatures move tribes. Then it crashes altogether and I cannot move anymore.

Here are my computer specifications:

PC OS: Windows Vista
CPU: Intel Core 2 1.66GHz
RAM: 2GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7300

I've had the same problem, has anyone got any ideas on how to help it? Because I'm constantly having to press ctrl+alt+delete and it seems to crash completely any time I try to get to the creature stage.

If the game is crashing inbetween cell and creature (the loading screen)
Try this:
When you come to evolve your cell into a creature on the edit screen dont add legs,you can always add them in creature phase.
This works for me because whenever i do add legs the game crashes

But this may just be my computer that it works on

when i try to customise my tribal outfit it crashes, i've tried everything i can think of if u have any idea how to help please reply

Sorry to hear your games are all crashing like this, I've had similar problems but it just resolves itself for me... What patch have you all got before this started, and do you have Creepy and Cutes Part?

You know when it crashes, for example going from creature to tribe, save thr game before you advance. That way you don't have to keep loseing your work and redoing it.

As for preveting crashes, I don't know what to say other than start on another game. Sorry.
