Default Crashes in Space Stage

Since I first got this game on this computer, it seems to crash quite frequently during the Space Stage. I've put up with it for a long time now, I guess I could continue, but it's still very irritating. It usually crashes when I reach a new system/planet. Not every single time, but after a while. The entire computer will suddenly crash and restart itself, meaning that what ever I have done in the game didn't save. Once I return and go directly back into the space stage, it's ok for a while, but I still have to save it pretty much every time I find a new place or after I've finished/picked up a new mission so I don't lose anything, but I can't protect everything I do. My very first space-faring empire wont even open anymore, so it's pretty much just a blank game there.

Is anyone else experiencing anything like this? On another computer and laptop, the game is completely fine, but this is my main which I have to constantly save.

If your PC is restarting then its probably blue screening, find out the bluescreen and you will probably find your problem:

To tell why, go to your control panel then system then you want advanced settings. From there you want the advance tab and under the category start up and recovery click the settings button there.

There should be a tick box for "automatically restart", untick it. Click okay. Run the game and try make it crash again and write down the message along with any locations (0x0000000 etc).

It's started since I first entered the Space Stage with my very first empire, patch/expansions or not. I've already said what crashes and such :-P Still need to get round to fixing it when I have the chance...
