Default Invalid Registration Key

I bought Spore a few days ago from GAME and ive just recently installed it however when i type in the key that is on the back of the instruction booklet it comes up with invalid key?!? I doubled and even tripled checked that i typed in the key correctly and it still comes up with invalid key?!? So i now cant install the game and i cant play it. I cant get a refund from GAME as ive already openned the box and 'used' the content.

Please help as i really want to play the game ASAP

Email EA customer support - if - they reply print out both your email and their reply if it resolves your problem then alls good if it does not then email again keep this up until they either offer a solution that works or admit there is nothing they can do and keep printing off those emails. After a couple of weeks of this phone tradeing standards - assumeing your in the UK - and get a complaint reference number from them. Then armed with your email printouts and your tradeing standards reference number go back to GAME and very nicely with a smile inform them the product is not fit for purpose which would have been the retailers responsibility to check and you demand your money back as per trading standards requirements. They will try to fob you off with a credit note, if you want the credit note alls good if you want your cash back then insist as is your right to do so.

I had a similar problem:

Here was their solution:

Alternatively, you can call us and, once we have taken some details from
you, we will be able to supply you with a new number. Please make sure that you have the game's CD in front of you when you call. You can contact us by telephone on 0870 2432435 between 9am and 9pm Monday to Friday.

If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know. We
appreciate the opportunity to assist you and look forward to getting you
back in the game!
