Cannot move in Creature Stage

Hello everyone,

I am currently playing in the creature stage, and have managed to get the game into a state where I can no longer move my creature using the mouse or the WASD keys.

The only way I can move my creatures is by clicking on the mini-map. I also cannot interact with any other characters. I cannot select them, impress them or attack them, and they just ignore me if I go near their nest. I also cannot select my allies nor eat food.

My health is full, and my hunger bar is almost full. However, I still keep receiving the on-screen message: "You're very low on health! Eat something or return to your nest to heal."

This all happened after I was killed by another creature, and I hit ESC a few times to skip over the death and rebirth animations. However, this caused the game to get stuck in this weird purgatory state, and I saw the other two creatures in my pack being killed.

I have tried saving and restarting, but it seems whatever the problem is, it is being saved.

Has anyone else come across this problem? Please could you suggest what I could do to jiggle my game out of this state so I can continue playing. I'd rather not start another planet...

The EXACT same thing happened to me. I was about to do the mating thing and when I pressed [ESC] a couple of times, the whole UI dissappeared. I cant move at all, and I cant interact with other creatures. Is there a fix? I really need to save. It seems as if my keyboard isnt working, but then how am I typing this!
