My Spore Doesn't WORK !!!

Hello, I bought The Spore game. I installed it and when i try to play it , it doesnt react when i double click the ''Autorun'' it doesnt launch nothing happens i paid 54.95 € for that and i would like it to work. I have all the system requirements (i got 2048 Ram,Nvidia Gt 7600 256 ram,Amd athlon 2x Prosessor 2.7 GHz) So it fills the requirements easily. Im Really p i s s e d off for this i would really like to play it and it wasnt really Cheap either So Contact me soon please.

Have you even installed the game yet?

If not open the dvd through my computer then right click and select open on your dvd drive and run the set up from there.

What OS are you using?

what do you mean by click the auto run? on the disk? the game doesnt run from the disk, find the shortcut in the start menu, or go to the install location and run it from there(right click on it and click run as administrator)

onn mine its go to games, then there is the spore logo, right click, then PLAY, it should play shortly after.

Mine is similiar to this now.
I double click the icon, it goes all black, like normal, then goes back to my desktop. I check processes and no SporeApp to be seen.
ive tried going in the directory and directly using the .exe

if your using vista , in the games explorer, or its in C:\program files\electronic arts\spore\sporebin\sporeapp.exe (this might be different in XP, but probably the same,
if you using 64bit OS its in the C:\program files (x86)\electronic arts\spore\sporebin\

For FIFTY bucks you get NO desk icon or autoplay..

You have to dig into the depths of your computer files to run the thing...and when it stops working, you have to dig into the depths of the EA customer service department..

SCARY game, but even scarier department

The same thing happened to me when i installed the game. What you have to do is uninstall the game, and then reinstall it all on your desktop. Then go to sporebin/sporeapp. Autorun probably won't work.

Mine was working for the first thew days, and now wen i doble click it comes up for about 10 secs, and then its ses, spore has stopped working, windows is trying to find a sloution, its so anoying.

this is a joke. i bought spore when it was released and it worked fine at first but now it wont work. i purchased the creepy and cute expansion and its never worked properly since. it now does the same as explained in the above posts ^^^. the spore icon is not there and i cannot find spore at all. its not in the folder it use to be in, the whole electronic arts folder has gone. i tred uninstalling it as well as the creepy and cute add on. after installation its as if it was never installed, no ea folder (and i made sure it should be in program files/electronic arts but its not there. even if i right click on the DVD drive icon and select open and select the autoplay icon its as if i never clicked it. it just wont run. i uninstalled it again and tried it on my D drive and it worked HOWEVER the game colours and speed wer all messed up. i tried changin the game settings from high to low but its still slow. how can i get it to work on my C drive?

I bought Spore yesterday. I installed it and it wouldn't start. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, it still doesn't work. I am running 64bit Vista and don't know what is wrong. I rebooted twice and that didn't help.

I have clicked on Autorun and nothing happens.
I go through Start,Games, Spore, and it doesn't work.
I put the icon on the desktop,,, that doesn't work.
Either way you try and start the game you get a split second of the disk spinning icon and then nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. My 10 year old son is very disappointed after having spent is Birthday money on this and he can't play it.

First i installed spore it worked but in game i could not go on outfitter without game freezing. so i uninstalled it and re installed it and it does not Start. any tips ?

If you are having issues starting the game I would suggest that you contact EA Support.

Omg im in the exact situation as you, i got it and it cost £30 i installed it and i had all the requirments and i click on auto run and the little load icon starts and then nothing happens and then it stops so i installed spore galactic adventures to see if any thing happen with that and the exact same thing happend im so annoyed because i got so worked up waiting for it to come because i ordered it and it doesnt even work!! Ive tried to load it up from different locations like the start menu but its not even there the only place where i can find it is on my computer and the press the icon

Guys, you just need to find it in your C: drive! then find the application and run that! your not supposed to use the disk to play it. If you use vista then it will be in C: program files, electronic arts, SPORE and then sporebin. You can make a desktop icon for the application aswell.

i am going to shoot myself in the foot if i have to uninstall and reinstall this piece of lalalala game one more time. i swear to god this game was built to not work. i've tried for about 2 days straight to get this thing running but what do i get, a big screw you from EA. my computer can run it and everything but noooo, i think i'm just going to return it and put all this wasted time behind me and play some ff7...

i'm having the same problems. i've tried everthing.it says on the back of the box it DOES WORK on vista.surely that's FALSE ADVERTING seen as though i have a perfectly good vista and it DOESN'T WORK!
