Default spore patch unistallation?

It sounds like most of the spore population are having problems with this spore, and now i'm among them! Is there any way to unistall the patch to return the game to how it was before the patch. Its altering the performance of my PC as well by the looks of things, really annoying.

Hope i get some answers soon. Thanks guys.

Uninstall Spore, delete everything in "E:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\SPORE", reinstall Spore and refuse the patch.

Little more drastic than i had hoped for :S Hopefully it won't have to resort to that.

Aw lalalala, is there ANY way to back up my save game files before I do this so I don't lose my races? I've really gotten attached to them.

under my documents theres a my spore creations folder or something like that. cut that folder and paste it somewhere safe. The game should ask you if you want to keep your stuff before uninstalling but I wouldn't always bet on it.

As long as the pc isn't formatted or securom is removed it should be fine.

Also it is worth mentioning that Savegames may not be backwards compatible between versions. Why do you want to downgrade anyway?

Uninstalling spore will result in you totally losing your game, you cannot save your current play position only your creations. Various other users here have stated that if you save a certain folder in the Spore directory then you can save your game position but so far no one seems to have had any success with that including myself.
Regarding the installation code, as windows rarely does a proper full uninstall and if you dont do a registry clean/defrag before reinstalling spore you may be lucky and the pc will retain the original install folder and retain the installation code.
Regarding the previous patch with the extra limbs, when u reinstall spore your be prompted to reinstall the various patchs, just ensure that you say no to patch 4 and the extra limbs from the other patchs will be there.
Hope this helps :-)
