95% of my pre-patch gripes disappeared. The planet zooming out crash being the biggest fix.

I have problems now... the game seems to be running slower - especially loading graphics... there are occassions on "Ecodisaster" missions where the animals are invisible and I can't kill them.... grrrrr.... should have just left the patch well alone!

THe patch has added a few neat little bits and bobs to the game.. but still hasnt Fixed the bits that needed fixing .. :P

The patch didnt change a thing for me still freezes when loading the tribal stage!!! Not even seen the tribal stage in action

Guys this is ridiculous
I have never heard of this many problems with a game
how is this possible?
Did they make the game compatible with only their computers and everyone who has one like theirs? Why do some laptops work and some dont?
I have a blasty until a freeze or crash
lame lame lame extremely frustrated.
i feel like i got the tip in and then she said no, got out of bed, and hitched a cab ride home... AKA EA and SPORE have given me blueballs

i cant connect to sporepedia when playing, and just for the record if you have had perfect gameplay before and after you really shouldnt be on forums, it makes you look like your here to brag.

Since my game still crashes every 2-10 mins, like when I fly into or out of a solar system or very often when I'm on a planet (and nearly always when I leave it!), I must admit the patch didn't help much.
But I guess the patch had some other useful functions, and perhaps it helped some people with their problems, do I wouldn't say the patch was worthless.

Grrr, 1.05 patch, BAD_DATA issue sorted after a complete and full reinstall and after a mess about with my PC language settings etc... Now i get random bloody crashes... I just cant win with this game

They only 'tweaked' the game just so much more..

No -real- issues were fixed, and what's worse, the issues that were fixed, aren't even in the patch notes! They are trying to hide their flaws! >_<

Now that I've downloaded that new patch, the game crashes every time I try and start it up, giving this message:

I'm not even sure what the patch was supposed to do in the first place, but regardless, I'd like to know soon what I'm supposed to do about it. Presently it's just annoying me to no end that a patch, traditionally designed to fix faulty aspects of a game, is making my previously working copy of the game require fixing. Ironic. And infuriating.

when i installed the patch, instead of fixing problems it's causing more. my game only creashed about once a month, now it crashes every day.

downloaded the patch via update available etc - do u want to install now - yes - error patch failed.. meh whatever... havent tried playing as yet but hoping no changes ... but apart from BAD_DATA i have been lucky to avoid many bugs so far.

This "glitch" was caused by patch 1.04:

Not so long ago I installed patch 1.04 as well as patch 1.05 (around 2 days ago as I'm lazy) however is caused a texture error. Within the creature creator all my creatures have no bump map thus the texture's are now "flat" and the textures no longer "reflect" light correctly thus I get a white blob, aslo now the textures are low quality and pixled as well as being slightly blured.

This makes spore rarther unplayible (I don't play spore much anyway however when I want to play it, this puts me off doing so) and after reading why this happens I'm not getting a new graphics card as mine was expencise and is of rather high quality the way it is, I'm afraid EA I'm not spending another £2000 pouds to simple play spore.

I do not have galatic adventures but (what I know) patch 1.05 creates an error whereby if one was to purchase galatic adventures an error would occure thus would make the expansion pack rather unplayible thus ruining, well playiblity.

I shall hearby state that EA should test the patches before being put upon the internet as some of us download your patches, as funnily enough some of us like the patches to do there jobs, I mean one of your patches was meant to be a computer programer however ultimatly barley knew how to start the thing up.

Now I would rant further however I'm afraid I have no choice but to drink cups of tea with a bunch of inanimate objects some of which don't exsist.

nope, still can't use staff of life without the game crashing.
EDIT: The patch 1.5 made it so the creation in the bottom right corner the creation is really close up and some of it gets cut of in a square

The patch was infact an asymetric editor update not a bug fixer and so created many mroe bugs on its own.

Since patch 5, some of my original problems have been fixed.

But now: (List time)

The bump map on textures is gone, leaving me with a flat and blurred mess, even on high graphics settings.
My little captain/creature icon in the bottom right hand corner zooms the pic so I lose the top and bottom of the creature.
Lag is more persistant, even on low graphics.
When I go to test drive the creature, the neck snaps into an unnatural position and the head points to the floor.
Worst of all, the game causes my whole laptop to seize up on launch. The only way to play the game is to CTRL,ALT+DEL and open the task manager, wait 3-10 mins for the computer to switch to the task manager, then exit the task manager and click on the Spore Tab on the start bar.

I understand that finding bugs in a game and fixing them is a very hard job in something as complex as Spore, but I really think that Maxis and EA should be pooling resources into doing that rather than giving us extra things to play around with.
