Default Who still hasn't even been able to run the game since buying it?

Just a poll to see how many people looking at this forum still have never played the game, even though they bought it, due to bugs related to launching it?

I get to the main menu (after all the EA splash screens etc.) and then it crashes every time I try and do anything. Not a standard crash either: I get a stripey screen and nothing happens whatsoever - just have to power off the machine.

This is the worse case of rushing out a game I've seen since "Sin" (where the end of level baddy just ran off to a corner and stood there while you shot him). But hey! At least I could actually load and play that!!

I'm running on a dual 2 core processor with ATI's (current) top of the range card with all latest drivers installed. (Crysis runs a treat) with 3 GB of system RAM.

I'd send it back to Amazon.co.uk - but why should they have to put up with returns - due to another company's mess of a product?

Mine is tempramental, Sometimes i've managed to get it to work, othertimes the SporeApp.exe gets stuck in the processes and does nothing, and other times it crashes when it it supposed to load the EA logo. I don't know whats wrong with it. Tried lots of things and contacted customer support centre, too much to really list.

"Works fine for me" + Occasional crashes when leaving my home planet's atmosphere (possibly due to the amount of cities). I just don't go into my home planets atmosphere, even in the event of an attack.

Works fine for me. Haven't had a crash either, although had a potential game-breaking bug in the tribal phase. My cheiftain will float away which is not good if I want to go down a social path.
