More installation problems

So I purchased the downloadable version off the EA site and followed the instructions sent in the email. The installation accepted my CD key and then kind of disappeared. The entire install client just sort of went away. I retried the install multiple times, as well as deleting and reinstalling the install itself. By searching for spore on my computer (it doesn't show up anywhere except public downloads, apparently), I found an autorun, a setup, and an uninstall. But absolutely non of them work. As soon as I try one it will immediately pop up saying the path doesn't exist.
Is there anything I'm missing, or some more difficult technological way to fix it?
