I've been in like 3 or 4 threads like this and none of them seem to be getting anywhere so I figure the more of them EA gets the sooner they'll fix it (Or its just to make me feel better)
When I first launched Spore it told me to update my drivers or turn off multi gpu. I updated my drivers and launched Spore again, this time it gave me the same update or turn off my multi gpu message, so I just turned off my multi gpu. This time when I started Spore it created a Sporeapp.exe in my process list and nothing happened, no launch or anything. I turned my multi gpu settings back on and tried luanching it again to see if I still got the update driver error, but no that went away it simply sticks the Sporeapp.exe in my process list and nothing happens. I don't feel like typing out my PC specs but I know they are fully capable of running this game. |

I installed the game and it started up fine, however i changed some display settings and then logged out for them to take effect however when i tried to start the game up again it will not start but the computer seems to think it is running when its not...... i know that the game works on my computer (my specs are well above the recomended level) and the game started at least once however after repeated attempts to reinstall the game reboot the computer and update my drivers the game will not start again, buying a PC game from Game means i cannot get a refund on an open porduct so can i get a manufacturers refund (if so how?) or is there a fix to this problem?

I totally agree with the opening poster, only my hope with many threads on the same subject is for a player to finally have the answer, as I doubt EA will pay attention to all these threads if they are named similarly...aside from that it will take them a month or so to come up with a solution (if at all), so don't hold your breath. So that being said, I'm posting the following for the fourth time on these forums:
I am having the same exact issue, only I'm having it after playing the game fine yesterday. The game will not load sometimes, and other times it begins to, gets as far the the black-screen, then dies, giving me a message that the game is not responding. I have tested this out with the task manager a few times, the game shows up as a running process each time I attempt to start it, but it doesn't show up in the running applications. In my event logs, I am getting Event ID 1000, but it's such a general error that it's not really much help (just going off of Microsoft Technet). Tons of people are having the exact same issue, please somebody find a solution for this, because I am not going to wait a month for EA to do something about it. I know the game can run fine, this is so strange that it would suddenly not run. Also, if anyone knows, where is the location the SPORE saved games are kept in VISTA??? |
