Default YAY I fixed it!

When i say i fixed it i mean i fixed the bug between creature and tribal and hopefully should fix a few of the other issues.

I know it sounds patronising and if i was to read this i wouldnt try it but it worked for me!! Just try it...:

Go to:

DirectX® 10

and update your direct x..... Its amazing how many of you dont have the up to date version... tut tut

Next:

Dont check on the device manager because that doesnt work....

Go to: Products

And search in downloads for your graphics card.... Download the newest one and restart your computer... I havnt had any problems since.

I hope this helps.

i think he doesnt mean directx10, thats just on vista,
this is an update for all directx versions in all windows, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displayLang=en
as for directx10 in xp its been halted to the best of my knowledge (that article is over a year old), and most users should leave hack/modifying directx9 into 10 well alone, as i dont think its even used in spore, even if you have vista and dx10 hardware (havent got it yet, payday thursday, so ill know then)
i just hope it works for me, been waiting for ages for this

lol, didnt even check the link, it was sent from a friend, definitely would not recommend hacks/modding.

correct, yet another pc game to NOT support DX10 (kinda wish i had saved my cash for a memory upgrade instead!)

DirectX10 is Vista only.

DirectX 9c is the latest XP one. It's one of the most important things that would affect performance, so definitely install the latest version.

DirectX10 wouldn't offer much improvement to Spore -- it's gain is more with realistic stuff.

Just because Spore isn't DirectX10 designed, it should work fine with v 9c which is the latest XP DirectX.

it would improve the shadows for one, make them more realistic and smoother, textures too, i know seeing as how ive recently forked out to get a dx10 card id like to get some use out of it that isnt another fps with a gravity gun.

id quite like to see spore looking more convincing with better lighting, shaders, textures etc. im sure alot of other people would too, i know its not meant to be about the graphics with spore, but better textures and things are always welcomed by me

nothing against ea, i just want some use out of my dx10 card
