The game installed properly. I played through the cell stage and then in the creature stage it froze up a couple of times but recovered. Then I had another freeze up and had to restart the game when I was midway through creature phase. I had to start over again from the beginning of creature.

I saved and quit, now I've tried to start the game again and it won't load. Online or off. Can't play.

Spore install slow first time, wouldn't load at all. Not in the games menu, nor was it in the EA folder, neither had it created its own folder. No desktop shortcut. Uninstalled, hoping it would work fine this time and i get the message D:\Support\EA\Cz\Badge.Gif Error

ata error (cyclic redundancy check). Tried a third time and my computer won't even recognise the dvd in there. Plus my pc is now telling me that there are 'errors' despite the fact my gaming pc is not connected to the internet and the only items to enter it are games.

I have something to add:

Spore crashes when trying to zoom out from home planet, after defending it from an attack. Happens from time to time to me and have seen it on the forums, too.

having problems with the game crashing on the loading screen between cell and creature stages. very unhappy after paying 40 quid for this game and i can't get onto the second stage!!

pc passes specs and the first level ran beautifully! dying to get to see the further stages...

PLEASE EA - GET THIS SORTED ASAP SO WE CAN ALL ENJOY THE GAME!!

Error message I got was an ACCESS_VIOLATION in spore.exe... will continue to troubleshoot when I get back home, but EA gotta have a look...

I've experienced the opposite. My Spore crashes when I try to zoom in on a planet. And in this case, not just any planet... it's the only planet where I've established a sanctuary for animals! Now I can't pick up the creatures I need... well I could, but I have to zoom around the galaxy to find them again.

You buy a game (not cheap) and the first thing that happends is that the whole thing freezes every 2-3 mins. And you have to press ctrl+alt+del to get it woring again, for another 2-3 min. ***!?

crashes in the space age. Definitely a bug, playing in a high end system and got no probs with any other modern shader 3.0 model game.

It wont let me add some rather nice rams horns to my creature, it crashes everytime!

AAAAAARG!This game is the baine of my life.Started at 7.p.m on the date i got the game and finished at 6.00am the following day, (sad) but.... at 4.00 a.m the damn thing crashed and i went from the space stage right back to tribal. I though i cannot be arsed going through that again, got a cheat from a website and went back to the space stage. At the moment im being patient and playing the disk content, quite a lot to get through.

Hangs when I hit the check mark after editing my creature and headed toward tribal stage.

Everything freezes and I get an interesting purple screen, no message, but the music keeps playing. (It isn't very soothing.)

This is seriously frustrating, I'd really like to play through the rest of the game.

now it says a .dll file missing.
