THIS game does NOT WORK

This game does not work! on my PC or my little brothers

An older video card is detected to ensure correct visuals and cameplay with multiple Gpus install the latest Drivers ect ect

obviously already had the latest drivers installed, installed em again didnt help. Tried running in Single GPU mode! wouldnt work Error report screen, send error report ect.

Spend 2 hours on the phone with the delightful Arvin from India, who i couldnt understand for the life of me (not his fault he was polite and patient) trying all sorts of different things. but TBH most peoples technical knowledge exceeds their support staffs.

So NO game for me! 44 Quid missing out of my pocket

P.S sorry for moaning the bairn its just really upset over it we have been watching videos of this game and looking foward to it for years

Im running windows XP, Nvidia 7950 gx2, 2gb ram Amd 3ghz dual core processor

I'll try anything if some guru has any suggestions on how to get it to work
atleast if mine works me little brother can come around and play it on my computer tonight with me which would keep him happy. Thanks and sorry for whining

(but this is an appaling release)

You can take it back, I would. if you meet the min spec and it wont run then your entitiled to your cash back 100 pounds is a fair bit of cash.

Anyway you wont be able to play it now, none of us can so in theory we could all go and get our money back :P

You usually get more helpful input, if you tell people what the problem actually is. "The game does not work" tells us nothing. When does it fail? How does it fail? What does it say when it fails? You need to supply details.

when trying to launch the game this is what it does

An older video driver is detected

To ensure corrent visuals and gameplay with multiple gpus,
Installing the latests video driver is required,
or multiple GPUR mode must be disabled.
The game will not run.

Obviously ive already got the latest video driver for me Nvidia 7950 winxp
And ive already tried running the game with only one GPU which only generates an Error report type box with Send-----Don't send. which we've all seen before.

Sorry but i think we should all get our cash back its called theft

For dual nvidia cards you need to download the latest BETA nforce drivers, saw this fix on another forum.

I have the same problem and have already tried installing the beta drivers but still Spore won't work.

Updated BIOS
Updated mainboard drivers
Updated soudcard drivers
Updated everything
Still same problem
I dont want my money back, I want ot play it!!!

2GB DDRII

To be helpful, many people are getting this problem, and it seems to be to do with cards which have two GPUs in them. I personally am fine (Nvidia 9800GX2) but some aren't, especially with ATI Cards.

Keep trying tho

Well said, I'm getting really tired of people who give up by saying, "I'm taking it back, I want my money back". Screw the money, I want them to finish the game they started making. This game played fine yesterday, now today I can't even get it to load (blackscreen crash, event ID 1000). I've never seen a game run fine once, then never again... that is just weird.
