I have the standard edition with this same problem, And I sent an e-mail with their reply saying "If you have not found satisfaction in the help offered, please contact us through this e-mail" and I was like...***...you didn't even answer my question.....

Yeah same probem here in New York, spent extra money on GE version......Invalid Code.....and from what I see on the boards EA wont even acknowlege the problem offically, this is very un-professional, EA needs to respond immediately or they should be sued, I want my $90 back..........

Default Code invalid.....AS WELL!!

BOulder Colorado, 10/3. Code is invalid. Reset my password three times. This is so lalalalalalaed. If they dont figure this out really soon Im gonna be really hesitant to buy anymore EA games.

So we are not alone in this...

So hi all, seems this is the only working forum for Spore.

After the numerous failed login attempts with my EA account i decided to make a new one. After doing this i get the message serial cannot be validated????

Is this part of the numerous login in problems i found here?
Or do i need to contact the helpdesk here in holland for further assistence

Okay, this is slightly off-topic, but I am getting an error which says the same deal, but this is on a different computer. It's better than my older one and it has Windows 7 beta on it. I reinstalled and input my keys in C+C parts pack and the game itself thrice now. I try making new accounts, logging in, rebooting. No dice. The same message. "The registration key used to install this game cannot be validated." Does this mean I have to buy a new copy each time I get a new machine. Please help me out here.

After six pages of people complaining, all with the same problem, maxis still havn't posted anything (To me best of my knoledge)... I find this unnerving.

I might as well add my name to the list, atleast i'm not alone ^^

I'm wondering how many of you people bought the game second hand. I say this because I had exactly the same problem when I first bought my second hand spore game (standard only); the game would not let me register what would efferctively be a second account, since the previous owner obviously didn't deactivate the game before selling the disk on.

I only got round this by sending an irate email to the EA customer services and then submitting some information to verify the disk was genuine; they then issued me with a replacement activation code.
I would recomment people try direct e-mail rather than forums, or try contacting a previous owner (if known) and get them to uninstall the game.

I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling your game will help; this is a problem with EA's online policy, not the game's installation. I gather that you can play spore offline fine, just not access the online portion of the game.

If you can get another activation code that does not already have an account associated with it, then yes, you would need to reinstall the game using this.

hello friends( i hope) in sporedom,

i have had the same problem and have just emailed EA -its already being tracked to my knowledge, so wish me good luck. I beleive in my case it was because my friend registered spore on his ea acc before me when i lent it to him before i got my new computer.
Anyone else done this? then i may get a sutible answer (2nd hand comes in this bracket)
