Add me to this ever growing list.

Simply says my code is invalid and won't allow me to log in. I don't want to officially play it till the content is wide spread with friends... hopefully this gets sorted!

I have been told different things, but it still sounds to me as if this is a EA Problem, not a Maxis issue. I'd say EA run the main servers from a base somewhere!

read the sticky at the top, it says why!! it was the same with other games and even with things like the iPhone 3G, when it came out, so many people tried to activate it, it took Apples servers down

Same problem here. No point in whining about EA, but i am ghoing to whine about the fact this thread been here for 9 hours and still no moderator has even acknowledged its existance.

Sounds like a very possible explanation to the problem to me. A lot of games have had this happen. But with the US Release on Monday I'd be worried about it.

Ok, first it was "Invalid Login" Bull, and now this "Invalid Code" Chili.
I'll keep trying to register ASAP.

Same invalid this invalid that, did buy GE version and i amfrom netherlands.
I wasnt a huge fan of EA since they screwed up so many stuff in the past its almost like they are like "we dont care about you only your money attitude"
But i figured give them a second chance with this game, seems nothing has changed and same people still runing the show.

Anyway some more support would go along way but all we are beeing told is wait we are aware, give some damm details like we got issues with our servers, or we are looking for some errors in our software etc.

Anyway rant off.

Figured i end positive and thanks WILL WRIGHT for such a great game from what i seen.

No you won't because this is spore and you'll still be wanting to play it so give up on the disgusting customer act please!

these things happen, we have waited long enough for this game to be patient a little longer. So lets all chill out and sings merry songs around some form of campfire!

seriously though, these things can happen without notice! sometimes they can't be helped! especially considering what type of game Spore is! huge!

ok spore is huge ill admit that but for them to spend 6 months supposidly "perfecting and polishing" it and then for this to happen i find it insultingnot just to myself but to all spore fans world wide.

Seriously, thats no excuse - they know how many hard-copies they shipped, they know how many EADM and Direct2Drive copies shipped, how the hell could they not predict the server load?

How do you know its Maxis? I'd say it was EA as the codes are connected to a server to make sure you are running a real copy of the game and to stop the pirated versions (which is a very good thing). Hows that a Maxis problem, they spent 6 extra months perfecting the game, not the servers mate and I'd put a lot of the blame towards EA's server team as they should have handled it better.

If that is the official problem, I've had a few games have this problem before.

My original conclusion is proven thus. EA totally borfed the EADM europe release. Can we get official comments on this? at least a "it's being worked on" would be nice.
