Cannot Login / Login errors / Server problems

What the hell is this? I need to DL a new patch and I can't even log in to do it! I've been able to log in so many other times without a problem and now all of a suddenly I can't log in. This is some bull lalalala. I paid money for your game and now it's not working. Great job EA. Also your link on the first page is totally off because I don't have a path in my PC like that.

Well, I paid £35 for a game that
1) needs the internet to be played (screws out a fair few people)
2)can only be installed so many times (screws out even more people)
3) doesn't recognize it's own reg key (screws out even more people again)
4) won't even do something about it (screws out everyone)
I have never been this angry at a company before, EA seems to think that by selling games as fast as possible and then leaving hordes of angry players to sort out their own problems is so unfair it's almost insane!

They don't seem to realize that being the biggest games publisher comes with huge responsibilities, responsibilities that they refuse to do anything about, they just churn out game after game and upload patches to hope their problems will go away to avoid answering our questions.

This is the final straw for me and many other gamers, either clean up your act or you can kiss our precious money bye bye.

1) It says quite clearly on the back of the packet (which is right in front of me):

Internet connection, online authentification and acceptance of end user license agreement required to play

I mean, you gotta check the requirements of a game to play it, idiot.
2) Later on, it says:

Only one registration availible per game

And now that's been expanded to 5! Again, read the games box before buying.
3. Um... you're saying that none of the games work? Maybe you just can't read?
4. Won't do something about it? The last two patches fixed quite a few crashed, and they're working hard on patch three. After I complained about an achievement wiping glitch, they fixed it. They are working incredibly hard, and do really want to make sure everyone can play.

Incidentally, that is one area where having expansion packs is good. It means EA is obliged to keep us happy, otherwise we won't buy them...

Think of it as paying for Spore up front, and keeping some money back for the expansions

So why are they doing so well? And how come, if they don't release any packs, Spore will make a loss?

and you know why they will make a loss? because its a crappy game and the few who make reviews give mostly bad ones, putting off other people etc

Actually, I was wrong. They needed about 1.5 million sales, and at time of writing there are 2082486 users (almost all of which disagree with you...).

I think I know what's going on. Almost everyone loves this game, except a few brainless people who can't tell the difference between their disc drive and a hole in the ground. However, these people are very vocal. But think about it: There are about 5 people complaining on this forum vs over 2m happy players...

I have some problems logging on but there are also problems with my PC so it can also be that, like i cant log on MSN but i can log on WoW and IMVU.
If it has any realasion I use Safari and i also has problems on the web site but if i use explorer i have no problems so should i switch browser again to break that problem?

i have got vista normal edition and it says i havent got the spore online privleges to play online? lalala? it not supposed to say that becus everyone have same problem and theres nothing that talks about wat my problem is has anyone else got a game that says this? and no it isnt because i havent got galactic edition becus there the same just galactic got some other features!

I got this yesterday an was hoping to play it, with the custom content but nooooo. i can't login, all i want to do is play spore if i knew the internet for it was lalalala, i wouldn't have bought it i want this fixed very soon.

try a really random username, i eventually tried one out of frustration and it suddenly worked, i could log in. Even though i was not getting errors with other more normal names.

I see iam not the only one with server problems its sad Spore is a great game but i think EA has ****ed it up

seeming like some of these people like bloodtau etc. honestly believe this game is that easy to run then I would love to see them try, that is if they're capable of doing anything constructive instead of pathetic whinging all day.

altho the last poster was 16 so I doubt he can comprehend anything about running this company, no offense to young people, it would just be an achievement to be so accomplished by that age.

When i start spore up, it stops and windows says it looks for a problem.
