Cannot Login / Login errors / Server problems - Page 2

I cant log in!!

Is there any system to who can log in and who can't? Like geography, age of account, stuff like that? Or is it (apparently) random?

I would imagine that what the EA team are working with to determine. And I would believe it's random since it effects Galactic and Normal Edition, people from different counties. Of course it could be one factory that's cause of this but most likely it's some sort of personal common software interaction problem. It might be something with Vista of course. It always mess things like this up it seems.

And since they need to determine the cause it could take a week or just an hour more. Since it's like looking for a ball in a 100*100 m room when you're blind.

Disclaimer: This is what I believe, I might be completly wrong though.

You're most likely completely right. Like I said earlier, I do this stuff for a living, so I know exactly how difficult it can be to track down a problem like this.

I'm just frustrated as hell, that's all. And lack of communication only makes it worse. I'd rather have them say "Sorry, we still have no clue what the problem is", than have them say nothing at all. At least it would show that they do care (or give the illusion at least). And that they are actually working on it. Silence could well mean that they've all gone home for the day

When i try to register its says already register (what is possible). Trying to login casue question should game be linked to my account, then i got invalid login. So standard invalid login problem. I am from Poland and have galactic edition.

I understand you. Although, for people... not as technically gifted it would seem like they're very incompetent if they release a game with a problem and have "no clue" to what's wrong with it after several hours of work. To you and me it makes perfect sense. But to the mass it might not.

translated from french (my version of the game), many tries, resinstalled, (from a clean slate having trashed all previous cc stuff + preference files.

On my version of the game i cannot play spore at all without having completed online registration.

Please admin, kick someone up the ****/

Umm, you're not trying to create a screen name with spore in it are you?

I got the error consistently all day trying to create a user 'sporegenius' (which isn't in use) - now I tried 'moongenius' it worked and I'm IN.

Try logging in and creating your account with a different spore screen name

EA < Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I´ve got the exact same problem, trying to reach the server from Germany.
I´d LOVE to actually get the program started, but there is only a brief wineserver activity in the processes (OSX) and then the error-info pops up.

please get this fixed guys, the anticipation for this game was incredibly high; and I hope there is no problem with the validity of the serialcodes in this game.

I have install and tried to login but no joy. I am 22 I live in the UK and I am running XP SP3 i am gettin the same errors as everyone else. Please EA you have our money (£45 in my case) now give us what we paid for. Surely this is again trading standards. Maybe we should give them a call and get some answers that way

12 hours later since i received it and i still can't get online with this game.

Unacceptable.

Would be nice to know the severity of the actual problem and some kind of ETA even if it is an approximate value (e.g. 6 hrs)

I got the same error as you guys: Invalid login, just right after the link spore to your account prompt. Got vista and Galactic edition. And since I can post here without problems it is not password related either, also not a firewall problem as it is doing it also if the pc firewall is off.

login via browser at the spore.com side results in being rerouted to another "server down" info.
I hope fixing the registration issue will come soon, because I really wanna play that game online or offline Idc!

Well since officially it hasn't launched yet I wouldn't say it was unacceptable, officially for Europe we shouldn't have it until tomorrow so just be grateful that they didn't do what they did with Half-Life 2 and lock you out until the US release date and time.

Actually, officially for the EU, we should have it TODAY! Today is the 4th, which is the EU release day. Which is why I have the game today. Because it was released today. Which means I expect it to work today.
