I thought that EA could make a new patch witch should allow you to choose you gender (male or female), only because when you call for a mate YOU lay the egg doesn't that make you a female?
Also I really carn't wait until Galactic Adventures comes out! Good work EA with the expansion pack

First the create a basic game then they start creating the extra content which most of the time its has no real value.. just little of this and little of this to make the game a little nicer. I would pay 20$ but for a real expansion not extra pack. If they sell the pack 20$ imagine the expansion.. it will be 30$ or more. And not to mention the european prices are much more expensive.
I really liked Spore before its release before I play it. Now I got it.. I paid 60euros for Galactic Edition and I feel so dissapointed because I see a poor game and EA is using it like another mega money game like Sims 2.

Think about it this way, MMORPG's like World of Warcraft or Warhammer Online add new content and fix bugs on a weekly basis, but in order to maintain their business and keep their computer technicians employed you must pay a monthly fee of around 12 euros a month...

Would you prefer to pay 12 euros a month to play Spore or 20 euros once every couple of months to get new content? I am not just picking on your comment but the comments of everyone complaining about paying just 20 euros for some game content to enhance your gameplay.

Try making a game with this much detail, spend hours of your life perfecting it then sell it for next to nothing. Give away free content after slaving away for countless hours a day on top of dealing with your private life, and see if you feel happy and satisfied with what you've accomplished.

Here in the civilized place of the united kingdom, we use pounds not euros, and we are not discussing how much the creepy and cute parts pack cost, so please take your spam to the US spore forums, and leave our community.
Also my guess is that spore will realise 1 or 2 extensions a year, so if you pay £10 a month, spore will end up costing £120 per year, and I don't think many people will pay the heavy price just for extra parts instead.
So by keeping out the monthly payment, you are actually saving money.
Even if you buy all the xtra parts, cause some people don't want to.

I have a couple of Ideas I would like to try out and see if someone can come up wit ha patch for them...
1. when you put your curser over a spine bone and use your wheel to make the body fatter or thinner how about a way to make it flatter so instead of a ball shape you could make an oval shape instead.

2. instead of arms and legs feet and hands ect being brought in pairs ( when you put claws onto the arms they have to be the same) allow different "pairs" to be placed ( like on the fiddler crab, one claw is bigger than the other ect).

3. mods for other colour schemes body/vehicle/ship parts, shapes ect, items for tribal civ age ect like in the sims

I downloaded a new patch and now it wont let me play spore....it was a patch for version 1.004.00 and it says it's trying to terminate something in a strange way...how could I fix this? Please help me...

two expansion packs that have been named. There are also planned expansion packs that may possibly include Plant editor, Hut editor and the Aquatic stage.

The creatures in the current spore are not really mating, they are just dancing, And then the other creature lays the egg.
That sounds more like cloning to me. It means that the creatures in spore are one gendered, like cells.
The creatures in Spore are also one-celled, so it kinda makes sense.

yes but thats to lower the age rating so they had to wish they hadnt though some kids make just really frankly um rubbish creations

wow, WAY more than 20 people are having problems. They aren't problems that only show up in some people's programing. it takes some kind of update, they are thinking the 2ndpatch, to activate the problems. The basic problem is that though you've been able to play for some time, suddenly the parts from the cute & creepy expansion stop showing and instead are just blocks on the faces and bodies of the characters. You don't have those additional parts as options to design anymore and you can't find them in the games either. For people to pay for an expansion they can't use a few months down the line is terrible. It took 5 months for mine to do it. Now I've called and they've admitted Maxis screwed it up pretty bad and that they (ea) as a company is furious and trying to get Maxis to own up to their stupid flaw in design and fix it. however, they don't know when a fix will be coming. that's what we were told and we also got a coupon for some money off because I still can't see any of the pieces my character has and many of the other characters I interact with as well.

I think they gave us that because we didn't accept a tech guys answers as most people do as I am an IT/Programer/ Designer. I know the lalalala is just a flaw and I shouldn't have to pay for it. I can't even access the features I paid for. If they fix it, I'll start playing again, but till then, it's just a piece of junk to me. I really liked the game too. I almost got to the Grox! I've already successfully made it to a colony and back! Sigh. so is life.

Hmmm... another case of the update fixing some problems and making more?! I too have this issue and along with the BAD_DATA problem it's all driving me a little bonkers. It's a shame.
