Default White spice time

A empire has built a colony on the planet with the city ruin in the beggining of my game- it doesn't have any spice.
So maybe if i buy the colony, it will mine white spice for me! ...maybe...
What do you think?

Actually, I think that planet ends up producing blue spice. It's happened to me before, and always ended up blue. You can try it, though, anyway.

No.
The only possible thing that could end up with white spice is if the colony is stationed on a gas-giant, otherwise there is no white spice to be farmed.

What's White Spice worth? Or don't any of the other Empires buy it from you?

It depends on how much the trading partner is willing to pay for it.

Well, yeah, of course. But I mean, is it GENERALLY more valuable than say, purple spice? In what 'spice range' can I place it?

It is no glitch, I suggest it is a remaining part of something they once wanted to add, as the Spice even has its own Icon.

I also think that it could be possible that one day you will be able to place "air" colonies on gas giants, and then - it will be habitable.

Nope White spice is only made is you mess with the Code on Spore. If you make the spice probablity Rateing. if it dosen't add up to 100% The remainder is filled in with white Spice.

E.G.:

Red Spice 40%
Green Spice 15%
Blue Spice: 15%
Purple Spice: 5%
Pink Spice: 10%

The remaining 15% Will be filled with White Spice

No.
White Spice is avaible if a colony is placed by a NPC empire on a gas-giant.

you can get white both ways, the reason you do is that on a gas giant, the probability of any of the other spice types is 0%, so the remaining 100% is white

the same might well happen for the ship planet or city planet.

Possible experiment: Teraform the ship planet to T3, and then destroy your homeworld using the "any tool any planet" mod, so that you can Place a monolith on the ship planet

Wait for the ship planet to get a sentient space stage species on it, then set up a trade route and buy the planet off them.

what spice does it produce.

that'd be a way to get a lot of white spice! do same to city planet (except no need to destroy homeworld)

Also potential possibility; go to one of your save files in windows explorer and edit the "planets" document to try and force while spice (or turn a planet into a gas giant!)

edit: scratch the last one without proper software, just opened with notepad, looks like "bleurgh" of symbols....sigh

tha planet you find the crashed spaceship? on the VERY FIRST part of space stage!

there's no planet that looks like a spaceship, if that's what you're thinking. Though I did once find a small moon that turned out to be a space station.

Well, you could have been a lot clearer on that reference.

I've never come across White Spice before myself, but now I hear how many people have, I'm almost sure it exists. Just like cube planets... I want to see one of those too. No, I want to own one and walk it with my Holoscout.
