Default Boo hoo, I've been attacked by the down raters!

Seems some nasty person has taken a dislike to my adventures. Had a few that seem to have been down rated without anyone even playing them. Now why would someone do this? I wouldn't dream of down rating other people's creations. If I don't like something I simple abstain from rating it, but more usually I give a thumbs up especially if I feel someone has put a lot of effort into something.

There are some things between the heavens and the earth that we do not understand.

Had a look at your adventures and although I can't play them ( haven't got GA yet) they still look cool.

Sorry, your adventures were downrated? That's different to what I was about to say

Unfortunatly, people downrate adventures all the time. I do not mean any offense to anyone, but it's usually the more "noobish" or rude people who do it. If an adventure is too easy, they'll absalutely love it for free points. If it's too hard - as hard as 2+2 - then you'll get downrated. That's how pathetic it is.

If it makes you feel any better, me and many other creators have been heavily downrated many times - people have downrated my best adventures, sometimes as low as orange or red face.

So, try not to take it personally - there's just some nasty people out there

Haven't had a chance to play any of your adventures yet Rebbecca, but knowing how excellent your creations are I imagine your adventures will be damn good.

Well, thank you Although I've yet to have a chance to play yours (I am back to making adventures) I'm sure yours are too. Unless they have C&C, I'd love to try ^^

Nasty! I don't think I've ever had any of that.

That's what I usually do too. I rate an Adventure on basis of my own liking if it was good, or on opinion of good construction.

P.S.
That was the first time I tried replying like that, and it was pretty fun to do.

DEFACTO'S AMAZING NO-DOWNRATE STRATEGY
It's very simple... make ugly creations that no one never notices...
You will have yellow face on all your creations YAY!!
I tried making a good creation once... the undead puffey-it got red faced!!

Afraid they do have cute and creepy thing in them, if that's what you mean like. By the way had a go at one of your adventures earlier and it was very nicely done. Loved the creatures and buildings in it.

Ah, right then. I might not be able to have a go just yet, then. And thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it.

Defacto- Sounds good, but that actually increases chances of getting downrated. One of the worst things, strange enough, is to be very popular.

on that note: Becca, have you noticed that Spore, CnC and GA are all available on Steam in UK now?

you can't lose a steam disk! Although I expect they wont be compatible with disk versions, you might be able to use your CD key to redeem them on Steam...

Necromancer? Is that someone that revives old pages?

If that is what it means, then I have to disagree. I even remember posting in this topic. So, it can't have been that long ago that the last post was post before this newer post revived it.

EDIT:
Apparently you can't say the word 'who' in combination with the word 'revives', as that will give the combination of spelling a swear word. So if any of you read 'lalalalalavives', just ignore that and replace lalalalala with that re-.

lalalalalavives: [lalalalala]vives, it detects you as saying that particularly nasty insult.

Edit: oh for the love of god, ok who followed by the re gives w(breaker)hore

definately not a necro though, although TBH the "cool story bro" spam isn't particularly desirable

I've always thought that if someone takes and interest and down rates your creations, it makes you popular enough for it to worthwhile for the down rater.

Lol, I think you can't rely on ratings at all now, I like complex creations normally, making me hard to please.

Though people who downrate...
