Default Help me find parts please

Hi all,

Just a quick question if I can please.

I played cell stage as a herbivore in the hope that I could eventually become a {*the one where u eat meat and plants}, but I only got the sucker thingy near the end of the stage. I didn't eat enough of the other cells at the end to become a {*the one where u eat meat and plants} and ended the stage as a herbivore.

This wasn't a big problem as I thought I would keep the sucker thingy in landfall in the hope that I would be able to change my head part later on. The only thing is that I only seem to be finding herbivore head parts as the game has automatically assumed that this is what I want to be. I DONT!!!

Is there any way of unlocking the other head parts even though I am a herbivore? I have tried killing other species off as much as possible, but this hasn't had an effect. I am now stuck running around avoiding making a tribe.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Barry

*Enter the name of the one where u eat meat and plants here please. I had a mental block! :P

to get the omblivor one if you are a herbivor mate than add the carnovor one and eat the meat and the plants so it gose into the middle.

I don't think it's possible after you entered the creature stage.
Or... I think it's possible to use the sucker-thingy you got from the cell stage, or adding the carnivore mouth from the cell stage as a second mouth. You can have more than one mouth.

By the way, it's herbivote, omnivore and carnivore.
Omnivore = the one that eats both...

"I don't think it's possible after you entered the creature stage."

I feel a patch/mod request coming on. That's just silly if you ask me.

Random info: Insectivore exists!

The reason why you can only have herbivore mouths is beause you were a herbivore at the end of the cell stage, and you cannot change the trait (Unless you use cheats...)

i would recomend next time, instead of waiting for the probiscus, to put both mouth parts on (or swap between them periodically)

Yeah, either equip both mouthparts at the same time (or swap between them), or once you've got the probiscus, make sure you don't advance to the Creature phase till you've eaten enough meat. Although by that stage you can't check the timeline as clicking the button will advance you to Creature phase. But before you get that far, you can check the timeline whenever you like to see whether or not you're in the blue.
Whatever type of feeder you end Cell phase on, you'll only have access to that type of mouth in Creature.

But it shouldn't matter wheather you ate more plants or no, but rather your mouth. He chose the omnivore mouth to create an omnivore creature.

I think this is something to resolve in a patch.

But then how would the timeline work in Cell Phase, if just changing your mouth shifted you to another colour?

Ameena has a good point, shifting colours in cell stage would be pointless if your mouth dictated whether you become an omnivore, carnivore or herbivore.

At the same time however, I think all mouths should be available in creature stage. It's sad they're not. You can still keep the theme of progression (whichever mouth you have, you get the 'better' version when you pick up a drop or skeleton), but still make other mouths available.

There could be a set length of time passing before you can get a mouth for a different diet - such as after the UFO visit or after the meteorite shower, or another mile stone like a brain size increase.

There's many animals, according to the theory of evolution, whose diets have changed throughout the course of their evolutionary history. We are omnivores, but if you look at our supposed ancestors (also the ancestors of herbivorous mammals) there are carnivores (see therapsids) and possibly herbivores and detrivores (see early fish).

Our creature's diet should be able to change too.

Good point, and being able to change diet during the course of your creature's evolution would be more realistic and make for a more interesting timeline.

And then EA could add other diets: such as the insectivore or detritovore diets already mentioned on this thread.

I always thought it'd be funny if a UFO in creature stage sometimes abducted YOU rather than just other critters around you. you fly up in the air, the screen goes black. Fades back in and you're back near your nest with an alien radio tracking collar on your neck! LOL
Stays there untill you die or evolve then vanishes, no effect, just thought it'd be a fun thing.
