Earth in my solar system?

Its not really earth. But the planet that that spaceship crashed on, which was for me, jamni, was shaped like earth! i am aware of the earth in the galaxy somwhere out there but im surprised about this one looking like it.






Edit: MORE INFO: the screen turns black when it should show the spaceship (when you first get there), my radar doesn't work and i can't find the ship anywhere!

Interesting...perhaps planet land formations are recycled? Can anyone who has found Earth confirm the the maps of both plants are exactly the same?

It's quite possible but personally I don't really care if it's one or the other. SPORE is about telling a story, so if that's what he wants to do with the artistic freedom then peace be with him

Probably just a bug. The planet's surface mapping probably got mis-assigned to the earth one by accident.

not that im saying this has been photoshopped, because i really have no clue, but in my experience both planets from mission 1 & 2 have no spice nodes on them...this planet does.

is this just me?

No, it's not just you. There seems to be a glitch where the scan the spaceship mission happens on a world with spice, and as a result the spaceship isn't there.

Quite interesting that this time it happened on an Earth-replica (possibly it's a replica Earth created by Dolphins as part of the "Save The Humans" campaign. =P)

i found Earth ... sorry just wanted to show off, i'm sure loads of people have now. I spent a while flying round venus, the moon and of course Earth. was all very pretty except britian was tiny and there wasn't really much water between us and france.... infact it looked as if it had dried up lol.

Oh and when i say i found it... i actually got sent on a mission to stablize the terrascore (which was only T1!) so it was less me finding it then being sent there lalalala.

I'm thinking this is just the real Earth painted brown with a changed name. The OP says he found a planted named jamni, when it ways Jamnl on the picture. As if he forgot how to "lie" the name. Either that, or it's photoshopped. Either way I do not really belive the OP's story. Ofcourse its painted brown becuase if it was green everyone whould be sure he was lying. And that with the spice, I have not noticed that, but it may be true.

It says "Jamni" in the picture too. I didn't even know it was possible to change the name of planets you terraform in the game. How do you do that?

I reckon this is just the games creators way of fueling the Panspermia theory (check it out on Wiki).

Perhaps the game is setting billions of years in Earths past, and you, my friend, were responsible for giving life to the Earth.

I just noticed that the OP's HUD is different to mine. Like his progress bar is all squished, and the UFO icon (that tells you how far away from the core) is missing. o_O

Is it just because he's running it in a horrible resolution, or is it the Mac version of the HUD?

i dont know what heppened to the hud (its there in my game), maybe i accidently cut it off (when i print-screen, it makes a x4 sized pic 'cause i have 2 monitors, the main monitor is on the top left, secondary bottom right, and the rest is blank). also, click the picture to see it full sized, and my video card is being replaced so i have a not very good one right nao. (one more thing, i have windoes xp if that matters)

EDIT: no i dont think i cut it off i really dont know what happened :/

I spelt Jamnl wrong, so what. It looks kinda like an "I".

There is a perk you get for choosing Carnivore in the Cell Phase that gives you more health to your space ship. Dunno how large the boost is, but that could be it.

I have all red cards on one of my species, and I have the same amount of health as the thread starter has. No health packs.

This happens and I feel sorry for the OP. Yes he found a world laid out like Earth, but he will never find the crashed spaceship and therefore will NEVER LEAVE THIS PLANET AGAIN. He wont be able to save (you have to be in space) and even going back to a civilization stage save will result in exactly this happening next time.

The only thing to do with this save is to completely delete it and free up a slot, this could be a lot of work down the toilet.

I've had this bug many times and it's very very upsetting...
