What I don't get is, if it damages your computer, you should be able to sue EA or Sony. They've damaged your property (more so Sony for unleashing this upon the world).
Personally, I've only had two problems with SecuROM, which only required me to reinsert the game disc. |

Sony/EA have us over a barrel on that point - and I am sure at least Sony are laughing about it, and patting themselves on the back for being so clever. lol, that reminds me of the line: "the greatest thing the devil ever did was convincing people he didn't exist"

I imagine with the recession that all games companies are losing money, whatever the merits of their particular products. And games becoming unaffordable just because people are broke will probably lead to more piracy too. Orifice is right about stupid scapegoating displacement activity on manurfacturers' part - kind of confuses effect with cause.

there have been reports of computers failing completly etc...whilst i doubt these are lies, they're probably exaggerated. for all we know, the PC's could have been on their last legs to begin with, and installing the game (and not just securom) might have pushed it into the BSOD
again, i'm not a supporter of securom! take the post above. a perfect example of over exaggeration |

Why so confident? activation issues are bound to occur not to mention securom freaking out because someone has nero installed or daemon tools.
