But in tribal stage it is everyone vs you? All the tribes seems to be on friendly terms with each other; but have something against you.
I just had to fend off three tribes attacking me at the same time, they were a few whacks away from destroying my hut, I have no idea how I managed to live through all of them attacking at once. Screenshot They all decided it was a good idea to steal my food at the same time, then attacked me at the same time when I dared to defend my own food supply. I've seen them using my fishing spot, they wave at each other friendly; then decide to attack me as they walk by. I barely have enough food to feed my tribe because the majority of it is spent repeatedly bribing tribes who seem to get along with each other; but are offended by my very existence. Of course if I try to prepare to perform or attack a tribe another one will pick that moment to raid. Why is tribal stage like this but not the others? You see cells, creatures and empires doing their own thing at every other stage. Last edited by AnnoyedDragon; 11-09-2009 at 04:27 PM.. |

A good question, I'm rather annoyed that you can't play tribal politics by playing the tribes off against each other, and having them all competing for the resources.
The fact that they dislike you may be because you have already destroyed one tribe: if you destroyed the first tribe or were an aggressive creature (or cell?) other tribes will automatically be less friendly towards you. This not only makes things more challenging, as you can't suddenly spring traps on friendly tribes, but helps adjust the game to the play style you have chosen thus far. It may also be the difficulty level: on Hard everyone is more hostile. Seeing as none of them have yet to wipe out another tribe, they don't view each other as potentially hostile towards them. However, I think it's pretty unacceptable that inter-tribe relationships are non-existent in the game, when relationships between other factions is quite important all the way through. (No as much as it should be, mind, in some places) If you're wondering why, it's because Maxis either forgot about it, or it made the stage too easy and they didn't consider other ways of making it harder. Or it was "too complicated" for the noobie players (Sorry, Casual..ok, Hyper-casual) it's aimed at. |

Easy solution to this:
Go to their tribe and do the social option. If successful, this will make them friendly towards you so their relationship towards you is the blue or yellow face. Repeat until they're all relatively friendly. They will stop attacking you. Use this finite amount of time to save up food for your tribe, then when you're ready, take out the tribes one by one. Simples! |

Actually, it isn't. Soon they will become enemies again unless you ally them. Then, whilst you are allying them; another tribe (or two) will attack you.
It is also SO annoying tat when you lose, you have to basically start from the begging. It gets so boring and repetitive and frustrating. I think you should be able to get food from dead tribe members from your tribe and other tribes (then you will be a cannibal!)
