Default Why after all this time we still don't have...

City configurations? This is something we should already have, it is basic usability.

With the amount of colonies we have in the space stage are we really expected to set the buildings and vehicles for each one? Over and over again, having to individually select the buildings and vehicles for your species for every new colony you create?

There needs to be some way to save a configuration, so when you build a new colony you simply select that config and *bam* everything is set correctly.

Agreed. The current system is a time-waster if you just want to use the same ones.

Which you always do, because there is a definite set "best" layout for your cities. If you don't have happiness booster the best you can get is +2 happiness and +132 spice, and if you use the happiness booster you get -5 happiness and more Spice.

You'll want to use one of those 2! no question about it.

Yeah, this is a great idea. Having to manually put the buildings in all the colonies is boring. Automatic (AI) construction would also be useful, like the construction on the enemy cities.

You could have set defaults to choose:
- Balanced
- More spice
- More happiness
- High defenses

Or City-Designs.
I began to grow bored of the look of the cities sorounding walls... how about some organic ones, or some that look equal to the buildings?

Ah well, that'd be straying into the 2005 showing's territory.

There cities didn't have fixed lay-outs, you could place buildings where you liked and the walls wrapped around, and had different designs depending on your city.

The Sporepedia would also be able to match styles...but I digress, that idea was far too good to actually be included in the game.

like the idea, i personally use 3 design sets, 1 set for planets i terraform, 1 set for planets i buy and 1 set for planets i take by force, all 3 end up with the same happiness and spice production but each 1 uses differant buildings. now i digress lol, EA will never incorporate this idea into a patch, i think the next patch will only be resolving several gameplay issues/errors, any future wants such as this will be in the form of an addon which will of course cost.
