There are so many glitches in Spore! This is just a few:
Ending up inside objects Floating chieftan Adventure planet surface going weird Random closing of Spore You get the idea. So I am calling for a patch to remove glitches. If you agree, say '/sign' and mention any glitches I haven't. We can solve this.

I agree the random closes are very annoying, but they can only fix a few glitches at a time without months of work, fixing every single bug and glitch would be a monumental task an require alot of games testers with different computers and specs actually looking for glitches.

random closing of Spore is a crash, which is when your computer is unable to handle all the data. On low spec computers it's the comps fault, it's just too rubbish. on high spec computers it's the game's fault, it's running some form of loop which is sucking up all the CPU or RAM.
others are glitches, and are entirely the game's fault I'll sign...although I'm sure maxis are trying their hardest. glitches are a pain in the lalalala to solve. |

/sign but i know that maxis are working very hard to sort everything out and this probably wont effect anything, seeing as they are very aware anyway, but i have the same hopes as everyone else. :} Also does anyone know how to fix the death in creature stage problem?

The problem is that glitches are an inherent part of any form of coding or software. It takes great precision to eradicate them, and with a game like Spore which combines so many different aspects, they are inevitably going to be very common.
Random/unpredictable behaviour emanating from deterministic systems is an inherent trait of the physical universe. We know it very well, one of Saturn's moons exhibits an entirely random and unpredicatable tumbling motion in its orbit, which completely obeys Newton's Laws yet is entirely unpredicatble and chaotic. In fact the majority of coding systems should display complete randomness, that they don't is a matter of codes meticulously going through and changing what appear to be very tiny details that draw the line between then following the laws of physics in a predictable way we desire, and then following them in a chaotic and unpredicatble way. All games are going to be full of glitches which must be systematically solved. Spore has many stages which are each coded like a separate game, and so we should rightfully expect many glitches, and many more in GA where they attempt to stitch all the stages together. That everyone experiences similar or the same glitches simply demonstrates that the code is deterministic, not that there is any fault in it. There wont be any anti-glitch patch, it's simply impossible to manage. Everything they do is capable of creating new glitches of its own. |

I am aware of that, but I think as many glitches as possible should be solved before any new part is available-you wouldn't sell someone a car with a bomb in it, then only afterwards remove the bomb. The glitches should be first priority, before adding new gameplay elements.

The problem is that many of these glitches will not materialise when tested in Beta, as we have different computers to Maxis and we are running far more runs than they reasonably can.
A game-breaking glitch may only come up once ever 5000 runs, Maxis can't do the number of runs necessary to determine it was caused by the game rather than another system on the computer, or even guarantee coming across it at all. However in the community, which can manage 1000000 runs in the space of a week, it'll come up much sooner. Also, these glitches may take a long time to solve, some of them may not be completely fixable on all computer set-ups. |

If they're going to go about trying to solve as many glitches as they can, they should prioritise ones which cause the game to crash, become unstable or become in someway unplayable.
And then move onto ones that occur to the detriment of gameplay. And finally ones which are just annoying to have exist. |

Anybody knows that glitch where you start a game and the whole PLANET you play on is underwater? This is very annoying, in both creature and all other states. As, for example if you walk upon land in a bugged creature state with this glitch, you will be eaten by a monster.

I read these forums regularly and i cant believe the number of problems an awful lot of people seem to be having, howether i have said before in reply to others problems and its similar to what TheMrZ has said here, most glitchs/faults with Spore/GA are to do with your own pc's rather than the game itself. My pc is a fairly high end pc, 4GB Ram, 6000 Ghz duel core processor, 1GB Graphics card, 2.5 TB of hard drive space, on top of that i perform regular pc maintainance, not with windows own tools but programs more specialised in clearing the rubbish. All this seems to help, i rarely get any problems with Spore/GA or indeed any game and if i do its generally more to do with conflicts between other programs rather than poor coding.
